Award is as Award Does

I have been nominated for two awards; The Versatile Blogger Award and the Very Inspiring Blogger award by the lovely and talanted actress KatrinaPerkins. Katina’s blog is worth a visit since she has some interesting and inside dope (so to speak) on the stage and film making business. A very creative package was developed to present the two awards called The Dragon’s Loyalty Award.(could be as a cover up) As you can see by the picture this is not something you would want sitting on the coffee table like an Oscar for instance. Speaking of Oscar, Katrina promised me that she would mention all of us in her acceptance speech if we visit often. So Katrina thank you for this (these) award (s) and here are the rules:

1. Display the Award Certificate on your websiteVersatile Blogger Award

2. Announce your win with a post and link to whoever presented your award

3.  Present 15 awards to deserving bloggers

4.    Drop them a comment to tip them off after you’ve linked them in the post

5.    Post 7 interesting things about yourself.

The fifteen Bloggers that I have selected are really worth a visit. Some have already receive the award but heck why not again.

And now for the seven interesting (you are the judge) things about myself:

  1. I have had three successful careers in my life
  2. Writing is my fourth
  3. I have finished two novels and am working on a third
  4. I love to write (duh)
  5. I started delivering newspapers when I was eleven and still have the first dollar I made
  6. I grew up in Detroit Michigan in a single parent household
  7. I am an Eagle scout

Have a great weekend

  1. Wow, impressive! 🙂 Congrats

  2. Thanks for the nomination! How cool is it that you still have the very first dollar you ever made? I wish I’d thought to do something like that. Do you have it displayed, or tucked away in a secret place?

    1. I do have the dollar in a frame but tucked away. The nice part it has my Mom’s handwriting on it. “The first dollar made in honest labor.” I actually dictated the sentiment so it wasn’t like she was providing a contrast to my other kind of labor. Thanks for the comment and I really have enjoyed your Indie ride. – John

  3. Congratulations! You deserve these awards. Thank you, too, for nominating me. You made my day. I greatly appreciate it.

    Keep on bloggin’
