Sunday – Fifty-Two Views of the Gulf

A gorgeous day. The overnight temperatures are in the forties and daytime in the fifties. There will be a warming trend during the week so we should see the seventies on Monday. This shot was taken a little closer to the dune than normal. I simply lost my reference since last week.

I have to feel for all our friends in the East. The snowstorm has undoubtedly caused some hardships, and hopefully, everyone stayed safe and importantly warm over the weekend.

  1. Good pictures, John. Both our kids are in the storm area. Our daughter in Brooklyn, NY is fine. Our son in Greensboro, NC is not much for emailing, but I have no reason to think he’s not okay also. When I called him he was probably out shoveling snow. I’m going to try email. 🙂 — Suzanne

  4. You did a good job of getting close to the last spot, John. Or it looks like you did. It’s got to be difficult, especially if the little flag comes down. Looks like a nice peaceful scene.
Those are pretty chilly for the Gulf. Stay warm. Mega hugs!

    1. Thank you. So nice of you to empathize with a Southern complaint about fifty when you are metaphorically sitting in a snowbank. Stay warm and hugs.

      1. LOL… It reaches above my front windows now. But that’s partly because of what slid off the roof. (Frightening thunderous sound, that!) I honestly don’t know how I’m going to dig my car out for work… I know I keep vowing to quit, but I’d like to have things set up a lot better than they are right now! 😀 Big hugs right back.

      3. I mean above the bottom edge of my windows… not the top. 🙂

  5. I love how the sand covers the activity from last week. We were spared the heavy snow, it didn’t make it this far north. I feel bad for those farther south.

  6. Brr 40s and 50s. Maybe its the power of suggestion, I can almost feel the chill in the air. Lucky you’ll have warmer temps soon.

I feel for the snowbound eastern coast. Usually we get a fallout from weather along the east coast. Not this time. Hope everyone’s okay.

  9. John, love the details …tracks in the sand and little red flags. Winter temps here in SoCal about the same. Haven’t been in snow states since kid hood. Feel badly for those snowed in on the east coast. Happy Sunday! Elizabeth

  10. What a beautiful day you’re having, John — and it’s about time, too, considering all the rain y’all had not so long ago! We’ve got lovely sunshine and a bit of melting…finally!!
