I had planned to run some more photos of the Marine Science Center to continue where I left off before. The problem was the rain. When I had the time to take the photos it was raining, and when it wasn’t raining I had no time.
Today’s post is about the rain. This photo is before on of the frog strangler downpours that we have had for most of the week.
You can see the dark clouds over the water. There were several lightning strikes on the water and unfortunately I couldn’t capture one. I was always looking away or some other dumb thing and missed them.
Like the sign given to Noah after the flood, there is the promise that the rain will end.
You can see the partial rainbow, and also the rain hitting the water on the left.
Maybe next week I can get another set of photos of the Marine Science Center. Here was the only one I managed to get before a downpour. It is the entrance to the wetlands educational center. (I know yawn right? Well, we will see.)
Hmmm. I think a few of us have been troubled by rain lately.

I think we have. The flowers love it though.

Good pictures, John. The sky really looked threatening in the first one.

Thanks Suzanne. Yes, it looked pretty angry.

Ah, Sunday morning coffee with John. Beautiful shades of blue, John. I guess the “Wetlands” center is living up to it’s name. Rainy weekend in DC too, and ultra humid when the rain stops. Mega hugs!

The humidity has been abnormally high here as well. Have a wonderful Sunday. Hugs

Raining so hard even the frogs get strangled.

Your photography is wonderful. The second photo is superb, but the first one divine. All that rich blue. Wow. 🙂 Happy Sunday.

Beautiful pics again John 🙂 As for wetlands – they’re fascinating, just to look at before you even get to bio-diversity 😀

So true. Right now the name is appropriate.

How come your rain looks better than ours?! Oh, I know — it’s the addition of the Gulf! Something about water striking water makes more sense than water striking already-soaked earth. Hope it clears up for you soon, John!

Strangling frogs? What the hell do you get up to down there?

The saying describes the fact that the rain is falling so hard it would even strangle a frog. Oh wait! You were being facetious. 😀

Nope. No facetiousness. Still slightly confused.
“Strangling” = “Throttling”?
As in “garrotting” with a wire?

More like drowning.
