Friday JohnKu – AKA TGIF

Happy Friday

Another busy week has flown. I was pleased to see my manuscript for the next John Cannon thriller in my inbox this week. I say pleased but also with a little tension since the ball is now in my court to start the formatting. My past life has complicated things and found me again. I have accepted an offer I could not refuse. Therefore I will be balancing my writing life and the life of a member of organized commerce. The assignment is a short one so hopefully, I can do justice to both.

One item that could suffer is my daily involvement in my blogging efforts. I still believe I will be able to carry the load, but want to ask forgiveness in advance if I miss a comment or two on your excellent work. I will be posting each day unless there is a conflict of priorities. With all that said, today’s JohnKu discusses the bitter and sweet aspects of life.

    1. It is one of those things where skills are in demand and there will be a definite contribution so I couldn’t turn it down. Pride goeth before the fall. 🙂

  6. There is always a down to an upside and an up to a downside. I have no doubt you can do it, John. I am in awe of you for being able to consistently blog daily. I work, write and blog occasionally. 🙂 I’m trying to be consistent with blogging on Wednesdays since that is my short work day. Best of luck to you!

  8. If anyone is ideally suited to handle multiple tasks, it’s you, my friend! Congrats on the MS and the paying prospect (what happened to the days when writers had sponsors who willingly kept their finances afloat?!?)

      1. Good that you say it’s temporary then. I think that funny pelican who sits on the neighborhood sign must have ratted you out and told them where to find you. 😉

  12. It is nice to have skills that are still needed, isn’t it? It should be a good experience for you knowing that it is short-term. But be careful out there! Congratulations of the manuscript and good luck on the assignment. Cheers!
