The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Dec. 10/16

Bear/Bare by John W. Howell © 2016

“So which is it?”

“How do I know? Do I look like a constitutional scholar?”

“Now that you mention it. No.”

“Thanks. How do you get me into these goofy things anyway?”

“Hey, I’m just asking the questions. You’re the one wanting to answer them.”

“I suppose you have a point. What was the question again?”

“The constitution gives the population the right to do things with their arms. I’m wondering what people are allowed to do?”

“Oh, now I get it. You’ve wandered near that Hill person and she has given you some words. So what are the words?”

“You don’t have to be so cold. That’s not why I was asking.’

“What are the words.’

“Bear/Bare.”

“Like bunny/bunny?”

“No one is B-E-A-R and the other is B-A-R-E.”

“Okay, I get it. You want to make something up about the constitution. The right to bear arms.”

“Well, sorta. I also wanted to be humorous.”

“You humorous. That’s a laugh.”

“See it’s working.”

“Okay, what kind of humorous?”

“I wanted to say something about if people don’t want to wear long sleeve shirts they don’t have to according to the constitution.”

“The right to  bare arms. Right?”

“Yeah, Right. How about it. Funny?”

“No. I think funnier would be a question around growing hair on our arms.”

“I don’t get it.”

“No surprise there. Here let me point it out. The right to B-E-A-R arms. Gggggrrrrrrowwwelllll.”

“Not funny.”

“No not funny like your face, but funny.”

  2. I would think, living so close to the equator, as you do, you would fight for the right to bare arms. Good one John! But what about the right to arm bears?

    1. Arming bears is a good idea. Gives them a sporting chance and I think some “brave” hunters would think twice about shooting things that can shoot back. Thanks, Dan. 🙂

Sometimes bearing arms with bare arms can be a bear – so I’ve heard 😄. Great job, John

  8. Sounds like your imaginary friends just aren’t working with you today. Maybe one of them can get a job at a doll factory carrying crates of doll arms around.
