Friday JohnKu – AKA – TGIF

TGIF

And here it is, that beautiful day of the week that we look forward to starting Monday morning. Yes, it is Friday. Only about eight hours until we hit the freedom trail. I hope you will have a restful and re-energizing weekend.

This week was pretty busy. I was able to get my paper version of My GRL up on CreateSpace and am waiting for the proof copy which is due to arrive Tuesday. (In time for Valentine’s day.) Once the proof is approved, it is off to the races. The Kindle version is ready to publish as well, so the paper and Kindle will go up at the same time. I’m not sure how much promo I’ll be doing, but there will certainly be a post with the announcement.

This week’s JohnKu talks about looking forward to spring. Although we had temps in the 80’s this week, we are not quite there yet. Punxsutawney Phil predicts six more weeks of winter. I hope you enjoy it. (The JohnKu not the winter)

Snow, sleet, dead of night,

Not just for the postal folks. . .

Spring needs to hurry.

  2. Great, JohnKu! I’m so ready for spring. Of course, I can’t complain, we’ve been in the 70’s. Punxsutawney Phil’s prediction isn’t holding true, which is fine by me. Happy Friday, John!

  3. I’ve almost forgotten what temperatures and seasons in the U,S. are like. We have winter, summer, and monsoon here. Loved the picture. Have a great weekend, John. 🙂 — Suzanne

  5. Fully agree with that JohnKu. Wish somebody told me that Wednesday was my Friday thanks to this storm. Really did a number on the goals and energy. Have a fun weekend.

      1. Doubt it. Full house the last two days and into the weekend. Snow days are a bane to parents who work from home.

Was I that obvious? We’re getting another couple of inches of snow later today… yippee!! Enjoy your summer weather. We should rent a place along your beach for a month or so each winter. I yearn to be a #SnowBird!

  7. Another productive week from the sound of things John. It is pretty cold and miserable here in London today.

  8. Eighty degrees? I forget what that’s like.
Haven’t heard boo about our groundhog. Seems to be a secret this year, unless he’s gone south. 😀 😀

  12. Two days of snow and ice this week, so welcoming spring is sounding pretty good to me right about now. Happy Friday and congrats on the forward progress with My GRL, John!

  13. We’re supposed to be getting a small dump of snow here in mild, temperate Cornwall this weekend. I’ve believe it if it happens, but it’s pretty cold just now, even with the sun out… 😦
We have snowdrops and crocuses out in abundance, though – our equivalent of Punxsutawney Phil, the moles, seem to be waking up as well, judging by Toby’s muddy nose and paws digging the garden up earlier today! 🙂

    1. Sounds wonderful, Jan. I love the spring. We don’t have daffodils and crocus and I do miss those.

      1. Expecting mid 60s today and mid to upper 50s through next week. Has been warm nearly all winter here in KY. Weird.

      2. Yeah I remember in the 70’s it was warm there. I almost moved there for work but settled in Columbus, Ohio instead.

  16. Definitely fits the season … but you already have spring, and I don’t … we know that would be Obama’s fault.
