Friday JohnKu – AKA TGIF

TGIF

Lovely Friday. Eight hours until the weekend. (or at least weekend eve) How was your week? Mine was pretty tame. I’m still hitting 1000 words a day which is a good thing. Also, I have a beta read which needs daily attention if I’m going to make the deadline.

My editor has begun work on the next book, so that is a good thing. Still shooting for September.

I tweaked my Amazon Marketing Service ad with a different blurb. I only want to change one thing at a time.  I kept the keywords constant, so we’ll see how it goes.

This week’s JohnKu talks about what is important to an author. I hope you have a wonderful week.

  1. Wise words, John. Have a great weekend. The cat on the right above looks like it was just given a sudsy bath and hated it. I’m glad I’m not the owner. Its face says, “Revenge”. 😀 — Suzanne

A matter of the heart – so true. And like Suzanne, I’m glad I’m not the owner of the kitten on the right. 🙂

  6. Hectic week, can’t believe how busy! Still at college 9pm yesterday and just waiting for a lift to Chester for a concert, hoping it only takes a four hour drive.
Hope you have a great weekend.

  11. GOOD for you, John … and inspiring for me! That poor kitty on the right is a mess. He looks mad enough to scratch somebody’s eyes out! Love the JohnKu, and it’s so true. Probably most of us hope for a blend of the two options!

  19. Hi John – I am just beginning the first heavy go through of my book, based on critiquers comments, and sending it out to my beta readers a chapter at a time so they don’t get overwhelmed. I feel your angst. For me, it’s all about the writing. I like to surprise, awe and thrill my critique groups – not really! I’m happy if they enjoyed it. Have a great weekend and much luck with this part of the process.
