Thursday – A Little Personal – Lucy is Concerned

“Hi, Boss.”

“Well, hello Lucy. How are you today?”

“Pretty good boss but I have a question.”

“I wonder if you could set that computer aside for a minute?”

“Oh, sure, sweetheart.”

Lucy

“Darn thing anyway.”

“You had a question?”

Yeah. Mom tells us you are heading overseas.”

“Yes, that is true. I’ll be gone a couple of weeks.”

Lucy

“What’s with that face?”

“I’m worried.”

“About what?”

“That you’ll forget us.”

“How is that possible? You are my babies.”

Lucy

“Seriously?”

“Seriously.”

“And the kibble will show up as usual?”

“Guaranteed.”

“Thanks, Boss. I think we’ve covered it all. Time to rest.”

Lucy

“Sleep tight, Lucy.”

“Have a nice trip, Boss. Don’t forget the souvenir.”

“Wouldn’t think of forgetting. Thanks.”

Lucy has a way to introduce the fact that I will be leaving for Scotland on the 18th returning on the 30th. We are going to visit the birthplace of our grandparents. This trip will place a little pressure on my blogging so I apologise in advance if I miss a comment or even a post. I’ll do my best to stay current but one never knows.

There are three dogs that I follow regularly as they do put a spin and new perspective on life.. Danny, Ani and Lucy (and jeez must not forget the fabulous Zoe the Feline) are a delight.. their owners are not too shabby either.. John Howell is going to Scotland on the 18th to the land of his forefathers…. Lucy is rightly concerned about the trip.. so lovely

  3. LOL, John this is adorable. But it’s a truly wonderful vacation, so forget blogging and enjoy yourself. 🙂 Of course you’ll need to call Lucy and crew frequently, but as for the blogosphere… Just have a safe, happy, relaxing, terrific time. Mega hugs.

So sweet…it’s amazing how Lucy speaks volumes with just a glance. She and Bailey are your babies – impossible to forget. I suspect they’ll accompany at least in spirit. Have a wonderful trip, John. 🙂

  12. Lucy is so adorable sweet! It’s funny how pets seem to know when we’ll be gone for an extended period of time. They get “the look” that makes you want to go Awwww.

    1. She has the “look” when I go to the store. She get anxious when her peeps are gone. I think it comes from being abandoned. We alway make sure she has someone.

  14. Lucy (and Baily) sound a lot like my spaniel Toby – everything revolves around his tummy with walkies coming a close second. 😀
Enjoy your stay in bonny Scotland! If you’re doing the whisky distillery tours around Inverness, do say ‘hi’ to ‘Nessie’ on the Loch… if you spot her afterwards! 😉

  23. Scotland? Might I say I’m just pea-green with envy, John?? I love the idea of visiting the Motherland when possible, even if the babies have to go to “camp” for a little while. Lucy et. al. will be just fine — maybe you’ll bring them back a stuffed sheep or something! No pressure from here to maintain a regular blogging schedule — enjoy that vacation!!
