Normally on Saturday, there is a Stream of Consciousness prompt. While travelling I missed it so I thought you might like some more pictures of Scotland.
Here is a photo of the St. Andrews Cathedral. As you can see it is in ruins. The town of St Andrews is very picturesque.
Here is the Abby at St Andrews. It was destroyed during the Reformation.
Here is a Castle at Fyvie and is noted because it was a commoner’s castle
There were two swans with their chicks on the side of the road.
This is a shot of a dog in a pub at Fyvie that decided to sleep on my shoe. (Don’t tell Lucy)
We visited our Great Grandmother’s hometown of Portsoy. We stayed in Whitehills and here is a sunset shot.

John, you have a great eye. The photos really make me wish I was there, especially so I could buy you a pint and pet the dog. The cathedral ruins are especially intriguing as I recently finished Ken Follett’s “The Pillars of the Earth” which, if you haven’t read it, is all about building a cathedral (more exciting than it sounds).

They are super pictures, John. I’ve only ever been to Scotland once, and that was a very long time ago. I hope that dog let you have your foot back.

Yes, the dog finally got off my foot. I think it was about five minutes or so. The owner said she only does that to people she likes. She recognized a dog owner I’m thinking. Thanks, Hugh.

Yes, you’re correct. Toby does it a lot to our guests, but only those that give him treats and play with him.

I really miss Edinburgh. Spent my teenage years there and often go back to visit my mum and dad, and brother… Enjoyed your photos. 🙂
