Another Friday and we can now see the weekend from here. Our weather has been very humid this week. We have a big ole high sitting just North and West of us which invites the Gulf moisture to come streaming in. It wouldn’t be so bad if it would rain but all we get are some sea breeze showers which wouldn’t fill a teacup.
So we continue to sweat with no relief. The Gulf temperatures are running around 89 degrees right now so we can’t count on a cooling effect. I guess that is why they call this time of year Summer. Today’s JohnKu speaks of Summer, and I hope you have something fun planned for the weekend. Thanks for stopping by. Grab an ice tea and sit a spell.

The days are longer,
Nights are uncomfortable. . .
Yup, it is summer.
Have a good weekend
Our humidity has been oppressive as well, John. We can’t even get a drop of rain. Great meme! Happy Friday!

Happy Friday, Jill. Try to stay cool.

Yup, it sure is! Great Johnku.
It’s so oppressive here. I know we’re lucky here not to have temps if 100 & more… But it’s dang close. And yes, night is the worst. TGIF for sure. Mega hugs.

I remember losing a loafer in the street in Washington. It stuck to the melted asphalt as I was crossing. I thought DC was the hottest place on Earth. Try to stay cool, Teagan.

There’s a cold Kirin Ichiban and a Riesling waiting in the fridge when I get home — I can take my pick. 😀

I woud do the Kirin if I had one (hint hint) Hugs

Well, my power went out, right after I got home, so I opted for the Kirin, salsa & chips for dinner (no gas in my neighborhood ). Finally got electricity again now. Here’s to Saturday!

Houston’s feeling the heat and humidity big time! Time for either VERY early morning activities or indoor ones for sure! Hope you have a great weekend!

You as well. Houston is humidity central for sure. 😀

Think the humidity broke for a day here, but it’s coming back. Yesterday was just insanely gross. Hope you get some relief soon. Stay cool if you can.

Thanks, Charles. The mornings are about 79 degrees so the walk is tolerable. Still have a nice breeze too.

It cooled off overnight here. Kind of unsettling.

South Florida speaking up here – we could have a who-is-more-humid contest !! Instead of the iced tea, can I have what the guy and cat on couch are drinking?

Sure. One Cabernet coming up. 😀

Yes, that sums it up nicely! We’ve had a very humid week too – but our temperatures have been in the low to mid-70s – which makes the humidity much easier to handle. Hope you get some relief soon. Happy Friday to you sir!

Kinda sounds like a good way to slowly steam vegetables. We have all the rain you need, John. Yesterday, a thunderstorm at 4:30 dropped the temp from 87 to 67.

With any luck it will rain soon John. I am not a big fan of humidity. Have a good weekend.

Second week of Wimbledon here, so the weather’s turned cooler and cloudier, and we’re having spasmodic rain here in the SW – so, YAY! No humidity to speak of! 😀
Still having ice cream and strawberries with som chilled liquid for the finals weekend though! 😛

We have some of that humidity here, but I doubt it’s nearly as bad as around the gulf. Hope you get some relief soon, John.

The humidity is a killer. Except when I’m running. For some odd (masochistic) reason, I dig it then. I guess because I sweat a ton more and it makes me feel as if I got some serious work done, lol.

More sweat sounds and feels like more productivity. Science says no. But like you I always think of sweat and serious work.

Sunday afternoon and I’m just now checking out Friday’s JohnKu. Oh, I want Friday back again! *sigh*
We have plenty of heat here too, in the upper 80s, but with the thunderstorms and rain you seem to be missing. Which reminds me–it’s Sunday afternoon and the pool is calling. Hope you are having a good weekend, John!
