“Okay, John. I know you are getting your coffee but I wonder if we could chat.”
“Of course, Stella. What would you like to chat about?
“Well, it’s a little personal.”
“Go ahead. I can keep a secret.”
“It’s about those two canines.”
“What a shock Stella. What about them?”
“Haven’t you noticed how they lay around.”
“To be honest I think all three of you lay around.”
“But sometimes it can be disgusting.”
“I can see what you mean. How about some nice half and half?”
“I would like that but you have to stand guard.”
“Stand guard. Why?”
“Why? Just look at these monsters.”
“Aw you poor thing. I’ll Call them. Lucy and Bailey.”
“Not now Boss. We are on the hunt for some half and half leavings.”
“You girls are making Stella nervous.”
“Give me a break, Boss. You ever check out those claws? That is one serious fighten’ machine. If anybody should be nervous it’s us.”
“Okay girls go get the leavings.”
Aw… come on, John. Poor Stella.
Seriously though, this one was perfect. Have a thriving Thursday!

Always amazed by how dogs fall asleep in odd positions. Much more flexible than I expect.

Yes they are. I love the head off the couch posture myself.

I’ve seen my son do that when he was 2. Have yet to see a dog do it, but I don’t have one, so that might not happen.

Ha ha ha. Yes dogs and kids have the same lounge habits.

Puts me in mind of Flash, my greyhound who died some years ago. He lived in dread of our cat, who would randomly swipe at his nose if he walked by in range. Her favourite thick was sitting at the bottom of the stairs when Flash wanted to come down (or at the top when he wanted to go up). Flash would stand there crying, because the cat wouldn’t let him pass.

Happy Thursday, John! Glad to see Stella get a spotlight and it’s lovely to see how the three of them get along … or, at least, coexist 😉

Wow – it must be like the Coliseum round your house every day, John! 😛 My bet’s going on Stella though, even though she’s moaning about intimidation… 😉

I suspect Stella is crying wolf…or, in this case, canines. My guess is she can handle Lucy and Bailey without any help!

I’ve heard that dogs only lie on their backs sprawled out like that when they’re exceedingly comfy. Dallas *never* gets that relaxed. Must be the herding dog ancestry. Glad to see you waylaid another cat and dog argument!
