Friday JohnKu – AKA – TGIF

Friday is here and not a moment too soon. This week has taken it’s time to get to the gate of the weekend. I can’t put my finger on why so slow, but the week just seems like it went on forever. I think it may have something to do with the fact that the weather has been so bad. Why not blame the weather for everything? Doing that will give Obama a break since he is blamed for everything else.

Today dawned with a full moon and a gorgeous sunrise. That is the bellwether for a terrific day. This is also Superbowl weekend. With it comes the fervent hope for an Eagles victory. Hey, hold on you Pats fans. I know it is a sacrilege to root against Tom Brady but hell, someone has to do it. I’m not a big Eagle fan since my Steelers didn’t make it, but they are the underdog after all. Who doesn’t cheer the underdog? The sad part is Sunday is the last game of the season. Wah! I sure love my football and will miss it. Today’s JohnKu talks about the game. I hope you have a great weekend.

    1. It really doesn’t matter too much. I’m sort of negative rooting. The commercials will be good. Thanks, David. When will the diary return?

Hey, you know every president is held responsible for every problem, ache and pain, and yes – even the weather!. It’s the American way!

I always cheer for the underdog team and otherwise wait for the commercials. By the way, I’ve discovered that a great time to shop is during the game. The meme is perfect! 😀

    1. Thank you, Gwen. Because of bad shopping choices I’m banned from doing grocery. There is no other shopping around here for me except the bait shops and hardware. I still think I’ll watch the game. 😀

  6. Haha… the weather and blame! Good one John. Today began cold and forecasted to keep getting colder. All we have to do is say the last guy rated higher with bad weather days, and this one will claim responsibility for the bad weather.
I hope your team wins, and I hope I don’t hear my neighbors rooting for theirs (regardless of team). TGIF hugs!

  8. First the opening pic …. then you give Obama a break …. all adding up to a great start to my morning. THANKS … Enjoy the game. I imagine we’ll have it on in the background – especially to catch the commercials.

  9. Um…maybe you’re rooting for the Eagles? With the Steelers out of it, and even though I have been a Patriots fan since the days of Drew Bledsoe, as a Keystoner I have to go with my home team and cheer on the Eagles. They’ve never won a Superbowl. People are jazzed in my area of Pennsylvania with Eagle pride all over the place. Hopefully, they can pull it off. And of course, I’ll be glued to the commercials too. 🙂

    Happy Friday, John!

    1. Great wrap up, Mae. I just noticed I mistakenly put in Jackonsville. Wow. Where did that come from? Fixed it. As Jill says, Fly Eagles fly.

  10. Glad I wasn’t the only one feeling like this week dragged along. And yes, with the Steelers out of the game I’m only rooting for Philadelphia because I don’t want the Patriots to win.

  11. You have sunshine? Lucky you! We’re all clouds and breezy gloom. Mardi Gras revelers aren’t too happy, nor are the barbeque lovers who are getting ready to smoke up a storm before Sunday, but on Sunday the weather won’t matter.

I’ll not be watching the game, but I would be happy for the Eagles to win. I came across the news that they’re battling the flu; here’s hoping that’s just a little disinformation to tempt the Patriots to take them even less seriously.

  14. Love the meme! I’m pulling for the Eagles, too (shoot, I’d pull for anybody to knock the Pats out!) Sorry it’s been so gloomy your way — we’ve been back and forth with the sunshine, but I’m afraid the COLD is here to stay.

  18. This has been a long week, John but, like you, the football season ended two games too soon. If the Eagles can pull off a victory, I will be very happy. After all, in 1943, the Steagles were an actual thing. I’m not saying we should get a ring, but it’s as good a reason as any to root against New England…in case anyone needs a reason.

And are we still blaming Obama for everything? Because my pipes burst last week and it was so frustrating, not having someone to blame it on . . .
