In Keith’s words. “Using this photo as inspiration, write a short story, flash fiction, scene, poem; anything, really; even just a caption for the photograph. Either put it (or a link to it) in a comment or email it to me at keithchanning@gmail.com before 6pm next Sunday (if you aren’t sure what the time is where I live, this link will tell you). If you post it on your own blog or site, a link to this page would be appreciated, but please do also mention it in a comment here – pingbacks don’t often work.
Go on. You know you want to. Let your creativity and imagination soar. I shall display the entries, with links to your own blog or web site, next Monday.”

“So why did you hit me?”
“You’re being a jerk.”
“I still don’t think that is a reason to slug me in the arm.”
“Quit being a crybaby. I didn’t hurt you.”
“Yes, you did. I think I’m going to have a bruise.”
“Oh please. I barely touched you.”
“So what makes you think I’m a jerk?”
“What else would I think. Did you hear yourself?”
“My self? What about you? You marched in here and without a howdy do and started issuing orders. I could report you to HR you know.”
“Oh, Come on. You and I have worked together long enough that you don’t have to resort to chicken tactics.”
“Now you are threatening me and denying me due process. There’s another charge.”
“Come off it. Take a look at these papers, and I think you will be pleased enough to forget all this foolishness.”
“What do you have there?”
“Just the biggest order we have ever had.”
“Let me look. My goodness, this is big.”
“And all the credit will fall to you.”
“You’re the one who wrote the order. Why would I get the credit. You trying to bribe me?”
“Come on boss. You know that everything I do, people believe it’s because of your fine leadership.”
“Well, I am a good leader, aren’t I? Just no more punching.”
“Yes, boss. Anything you say.”
haha, this one was hilarious text 🙂 mmmm, very interesting photo, I won’t promise, but maybe I’ll write something too 🙂

I used to work with a back slapper. I wanted to punch him in the face. Lol Good stuff, John

We have all had a few bosses we could have punched and not in the arm either.

Another great interpretation, John. That guy has brass ones to hit his boss, eh?

A punch! Then, sucking up to the boss! Oh, I remember it well! AND, I know you must have had that experience, sans, of course, the punch! Your mind is agile and quick! Love it! ♥

I had an officer of the company hit me once. I gave him some news he didn’t want to hear. Another officer took him outside and he then came back in and apologized. We all were pretty heated at the time and I thought he was dead wrong so I argued with him. We shook hands and it was over. He told me anyone who would stand up to him must be very brave or very dumb. I said, “the latter sir.” He broke out laughing and told me we would do the project my way.

You have great character traits, John… I happen to mean that, so don’t come down on me! I was good at ‘sucking up to the boss’! Then, I became one, then was able to ‘suck up to my employees’! It was when I started my own business that I truly enjoyed ‘sucking up’ in the private conversations with myself…guess I was ‘sucking up to myself’! Now, when I call you ‘Good John’, I’m not ‘sucking up to you’…but, wait! Maybe I am! Naw, I mean it sincerely! Suffice, I’m sure there were many times when somebody wanted to take a swing at me.
Is Twiggy enjoying her new home? I’m assuming Bailey and Lucy are okay with the new arrival?
All best wishes to all of you! ♥♥♥♥♥

Lucy is like a big playmate. Bailey is hoping that if she ignores her Twiggy will go away. All in all adjustment time. Thanks, Billy Ray.

Wonder why some folks think they can get away with “friendly hits” on the job? I also wonder where Keith gets these pictures. And I’ll probably never get an answer to either, right?!!
