There is only one thing not to do on Memorial Day, but it can be repeated ten times.
Do not forget to thank those who gave their lives so you can live yours.
Thank you, Grandfather.

Can I add – stop saying ‘Happy’ in front of Memorial Day? My skin crawls when people say that.

Lovely, John, and well said. It’s a 3-day weekend, but I often wonder how many stop to think of its true purpose…

We haven’t lost a loved one, but both of our fathers served, and we do honor those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom. ❤️

Good for you. My whole family have been in the service. The headstone pictured is my grandfather who is buried in Arlington Cemetery.

Sorry I missed this on Monday. I did make it a point to thank every veteran I came across yesterday, though.
Wonderful ‘list’ as to what truly matters, John!
