“Hey, Twiggy. What are we doing?”
“Well, Dad. I’m not sure about you, but mom told me to pick up my toys.”
“Did she mention you might need to get out of your basket to do that?”
“Yes of course. I’m having trouble with motivation. This spring is sooo heavy.”
“Well, I’ll leave you to it.”
“No don’t go. Maybe you could help. Look how weak I am.”
“I think Lucy has been prompting you again.”
“No, not really. Oh, but she did mention that it is better to get help for any job.”
“I can imagine her advice. I don’t suppose mom said you and I should pick up the toys.”
“Why, I think she might have mentioned something like that.”
“Ha ha ha. I’m sure she did. You get started, and I’ll be back to see how you are progressing.”
“I’ll lift this heavy octopus and put it in the basket with me.”
“Oof. Just too heavy.”
“I wonder where that spring went. It was here a minute ago.”
“I don’t think I have a lot of room for much else.”
“I don’t know why I have to do everything.”
“Let me at least try this octopus again.”
“It’s no use. I’m going to wait for dad. He’ll help me out.”
“I don’t think mom would want me to miss my nap over something dumb like picking up toys.”
Oh my! This is the sweetest post ever, John! Thank you for brightening my morning. xo

She had me from the start being inside the basket … and she had perfect explanations! Meanwhile, I hope you got the room cleaned.

LOL. Yes, I did get the room picked up.

She is adorable, John. I love the picture with her scrunched in tight. You wouldn’t want to disturb that.
I took her case to Maddie, and Maddie agrees, humans pick up toys. Maddie always wants the toy at the bottom, so she dumps the basket.

I can just see that, Dan. Yes humans pick up toys and canines spread them around.

She was so proud of herself when she learned how to dump the bin.

Oh my squeee! John, you’re off the charts adorable with this one. I need to bookmark it to come back whenever work-stress starts running out of my ears (which is about every five minutes). Thanks for this Twiggy Thursday. Hugs.

Twiggy reminded me of Christmas. You buy your kids all these toys and they prefer to play with the box.

If there was a “sweetest blog post contest,” this would surely win! I love it and it is so typical of kids. My grandkids usually like the box to play with as much as the toy inside. 🙂

I don’t mean this to sound like some sort of ‘mind-fixation’ but did you teach Ziggy to ‘moon’ us? Okay, just kidding! I agree with Jan and Jill, this one wins the ‘blue ribbon’! Just precious! ♥♥♥

Twiggy is too young to be taught to moon. She does it naturally.

Aw, she’s just as cute as she can be — who could say ‘No’ to that face?!! Lucy has trained her well, John, so face it, you’re out-numbered. You know you just might need a bigger toy box soon!

We have two the same size, but she only gets one a day. Keeps them fresh.

Excellent idea! But she’s so smart, she probably has a favorite anyway.

She has several, but loves tossing the less favorite aside.

Dallas does that, too. Periodically, I round those up and take them to the animal shelter, along with towels, etc. They’re glad to get them, and I like to think I’m teaching Dallas to share with the less fortunate!
