It’s such a nice day, I thought a walk around the Marina might be relaxing. Sorry about the lateness of this post. I messed up the scheduling. Hope you enjoy.
The marina is connected to the park. This sign is a Hurricane Harvey survivor.

I have to alert Deborah that the pole is bent and the sign is straight.
This is named the Jetty Boat and runs people to St Joe’s Island. There is nothing on St Joes except shells.

I came home with this picture and told the Producer that I had found our boat. She was not impressed.

Oh, gosh. So many memories. I tied up in that harbor after my first offshore sail, and spent many a happy weekend there. Of course, there were the Harvest Moon parties, too. But the best detail in your photos for me? Seeing the PollyAnna again.

No. It is a pride thing though. Lots of fun to see the banner run up after a catch. The Marlin catches are usually released so all your really have is the pennent.

Got it. What do they do the Marlin fishing for? Just catch and release sport?

Yup. These weigh up to 700 pounds and take hours to bring in.

Good morning, John,
a walk around the harbour is our favourite evening pastime when we are in Port A. It has become quite a routine to drive there after (a nice) supper and then walk around. We both love to look at the boats there, and we always hope to see some dolphins.
The harbour jetty, btw, is where Mary “bathed her worms”. You remember I mentioned that lately.

We rarely walk out on the big jetty. I don’t know why. Your post and Dina’s pictures from the Norfolk coast reminded me that we really need to drive down to Port A for a few days soon.

My goodness. I am having knee replacement surgery in San Antonio the week before you arrive. I don’t think I’m going to be in any shape to welcome you. It is too bad but maybe the next time. 🙂

Great photographs! In the dark recesses of time, I worked for the Corps of Engineers in their procurement division. We did all of the work to build a new dredge, the Essayons.

There are a few costly ones for sure. Those condos across the water are single family three story with a boat out front. Big bucks.

Yes, the PollyAnna sells shrimp for $5.00 a pound (unsorted). Great buy. 😀

LOL! The sign is straight! Thanks for the alert. 😜 What a beautiful day, and really nice ships. I love the color of the water. I’m pretty sure we passed through your area while on a cruise down to Cozumel, Honduras, and Belize. We had dolphins escort us out of our port that trip.

The dolphins love to bow surf.You can see them in front of most ships in the harbors as they head out ot sea.

Great harbor shots, John. I can’t resist walking down to the harbor whenever we are traveling along the coast. I just love watching the boats. There was one time I refrained but my hubby didn’t. The fishing boats were unloading the days catch and about a zillion seagulls swooped in. Yep, hubby’s camera and hat were covered in their droppings. Ya can’t take pics when the lens is covered in sh–.
