Hey, Dad. Where you going?
Friday is here, and we can look forward to a super weekend.
I want to let you all know that I will be taking a sabbatical from my blog, twitter, and Facebook beginning Tuesday, August 14th. My last post will be on Monday.
My leave is due to a needed knee replacement procedure on Monday, August 13th. I’ll be hospitalized for at least two days. I’m not sure how long my absence will be but want you to know, so you won’t wonder where I went. I don’t think I’ll be stopping by to leave comments on your posts until I’m sure my brain is clear. There is nothing worse than having to apologize for an incoherent response with the phrase, “That was the oxycodone talking.”
I hope my absence won’t be too long but in situations like this one never knows.

I am sending good wishes and vibes a few days ahead of time. I will miss the heck out of you, but take the time you need. And be careful with the Oxy, that stuff is sweet talking goodness.

If you’re going to keep up with that four-footed crew, and a knee’s gone wonky, replacing it is a very good thing. Best wishes for pretty nurses and a quick recovery!

Good luck with it, John. I’m sure you’ll be better off in the long run. Oxycodone has its place, but it is not conducive to writing comments on blogs.

Oh, John, you will be sorely missed. I do hope the surgery and healing process goes well. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I have to admit I am going to have withdrawals from your posts. I join all the others in wishing you well: that your surgery is a walk in the park routine, nothing to worry about, that your recovery is the right amount of buzzed and a waltz ’round the room and that your return to reality is a hop, step and a jump away!

Good luck with the op. John. Remember you must exercise as much as possible and the earlier the better. Hubby, having just experienced the op.found a skate board useful. Sit on a chair and let you affected knee go back and forth.
