Friday JohnKu – AKA – TGIF Bailey Visits

TGIF

Another Friday is here and time to reflect on the week. I am happy to report the doc has released me to driving and outpatient physical therapy. This means that I hit all my mobility targets and am no longer on a walker. I still have a cane but expect that to go quickly. I am also pleased that I no longer need the pain meds and have a bit of a clearer mind. I am still not back to snuff on endurance so there might still be some photo opportunities that go by the wayside. We will just have to see. I know Bailey is a little put out she has not had a chance to stand in as a spokesdog. Perhaps this Sunday will be her turn.

Thank you all for your encouragement and good wishes. I can’t imagine how it would have been without you.

Today’s JohnKu talks about support. It is essential for all of us to help each other through those challenges that we are bound to face. Have a great weekend.

From calm to deadly riptide. . .

A firm hand a joy.

  5. It sounds as though you are recovering rather quickly – great news (but I have to admit I do miss a word or two from Bailey).

  6. Congrats on the recovery. Nothing wrong with a cane if you can get an ornamental one. That or a cane sword, but that might attract ninjas.

And don’t ditch the cane, you can use it for your dancing routine. Here’s to Bailey getting a turn at bat . . . Go Bailey!

  8. So good to read you are progressing nicely. Definitely keep the cane. I’m sure you can find all sorts of mischief to get into with it to hand 🙂

  9. As our beach patrols would say, always swim near a lifeguard — or a whole flock of them, if you can arrange it. Those riptides can be disconcerting at best. Glad you met your goals — being able to drive again is a big deal.

P.S.: my blog post about our visit to Port A two weeks ago is in the making. I took too many pictures. 😉 So now the weeding-out takes some time.
