“What do you want to do today, Twiggy?”
“Gosh, I don’t know Lucy. It is so hot. Let me go over to Bailey and ask her.””
“What about you, Bailey?”
‘Well Little Stuff, I was looking forward to a little sun and a nap.”
“Sun and a nap, Bailey? That’s all you ever do.”
“Aw come on. I do other stuff. Where you going?”
“Be right back.”
“We could play leapfrog, Bailey. Watch my long jump.”
“Very impressive, Little Potato, but I don’t think Lucy will do it.”
“Do what?”
“Play leap frog.”
“Look Bailey. I’m making a face.”
“Well, you have that right. No dignity in that game for sure.”
“Come on Bailey. This is a funny face right?”
“Yeah, Land Hippo it is.”
“Where did this soccer ball come from.”
“I threw it there.”
“Oh, Boss I didn’t see you there on the porch.”
“You guys need some exercise.”
“Okay. I’ll go out and give it a kick. Get it, Bailey.”
“What? Went right by me.”
“I’ll get it, Lucy.”
“Okay, the great Pele gets ready to score a goal.”
“Ha ha ha. The great Pele.”
“Never mind Lucy. At least she is playing. Oops, hold on.”
“What are you guys doing on the porch?”
“Aw, Pops we need a little libation.”
“And a little rest on the cool concrete.”
“For heaven’s sake. Y’all are wimps.”
“Hey, Lucy.”
“What Bailey.”
“What’s a wimp?
What a life, right? And, to top it off, they are all friends. There’s a lot we can learn from these beautiful three ladies! Have a great day, John. 🙂

Replace ‘cool concrete’ with ‘warm bed’ and I’m totally on board with that activity. Smart dogs. 🙂

These guys crack me up, John. I’m sure you have the dialog right – there’s nothing good coming from exercise on a hot day. Maybe you could install one of those misting machines.

I had one. It just never worked well. Adults woud get soaked and the cool never reached the pups so I pulled it out.

I can almost feel the heat and need for laziness here on my damp, chill, rainy morning. Those three have the life! 🙂

I think they do as well, Mae. A little rainy here today but yesterday was beautiful.

Funny how they find the cool spots. Mine sit right on the air conditioner vents when they get hot.

They also lie flat on floor or tile.

Yup. That fake wood floor is popular in my house.

John, you struck upon everything that is wrong with this world – by not stopping right there.

The good folks at Akismet seem to have solved the problem of my comments going to spam. My initial comment should be in your spam folder. Can I remember what I said? Of course not! The girls probably do a better job of remembering than I do!

Aw, that cool porch looks like just the place Dallas would claim, too. Dogs just know, don’t they? And Dallas used to chase a soccer ball with Domer when he was a pup (Domer still plays when he gets the chance).

Inside Twiggy loves the ball. Outside not so much.

I find that an interesting comment. I’m an erratic blogger, here today, away tomorrow and back next week/month. Many blogs are worthwhile. I have no routine. I just do a post, visit others, like, comment and enjoy myself haphazardly.
I love animals, and tend to return to blogs that love animals, post neat pics, paint art, write poetry… well to be true, I like anything creative.
You have me thinking. Time is a factor, for sure. I believe I’ve seen you on A Frank Angle’s blog. His is one of my faves.
Yes, I have a few faves. Still, I don’t catch all of the posts. x 😀
