“How about a game of fetch, Twiggy?”
“Not so sure. Let me jump on the couch.”
“Um if Lucy will play I will play.”
“Okay. Let’s see what Lucy says.”
“Hmm. A little late I would say.”
“How about Bailey?”
“A little late there too Dad.”
“Okay no fetch. What else?”
“How about we see who can keep their eyes closed the longest.”
“Hey, that’s a trick parents play not the other way around.”
“Fraid you lose, Boss.”
“I wasn’t playing.”
“Go ahead and work on your post, Dad. I’ll just catch a few winks.”
“You guys need to be doing something other than sleeping.”
“How about I test this fine couch. I’ll give you a full report.”
“That is not exactly what I had in mind.”
“I can tell you this bed is first rate.”
“I’m sure Twiggy. I’m sure.”
sleepy souls :)) whats their fav time of the day to sleep? any? lol 😂

Lucy and Bailey can sleep anytime. Twiggy likes 10:00 and 2:00 plus she goes to sleep at 8:00 for the night.

I guess it’s normal for frenchies. Daisy also prefer similar time 😀

So sweet…I love these photos and their personalities. Little Twiggy definitely likes her Pop’s lap and knows how to get his attention. 😀

She does for sure. I’m wrapped around her little paw.

Dogs always look so sweet when they are sleepy. Or sleeping. (Well, anytime, really, but these shots are adorable.)
You’re a brave man to have your laptop on the floor. My guys would step on mine in a flash, tired or not.

I was down there trying to incite some action. Fail.

Nothing like a good snoozle, Dallas tells me! He and your girls seem to have perfected the art of the nap. It’s a tough gig, but somebody’s gotta do it!

They do. Twiggy gets very grumpy without a nap.

Ah, the furry kids are always good for a smile — or a dozen. Thanks for this post, John. They are now in the phrase dictionary beside “You lazy dog.” Adorable. Hugs.

They are iconic lazy dogs for sure. I tried to do an action scene but no help from them so I went with what I had.

Loved it. Crystal seemed to find the energy they were lacking. There I was, trying to hurry and get ready for work, and she wanted to play with the string toy. (A “teaser” stick with ribbon). I had it “hidden” on an upper shelf of the bookcase, and she was doing her cat-gone best to get to it, so we had to play while I was getting ready. (It’s a year since her cancer, so I didn’t mind being pestered one bit.) ❤
