Friday is here and time to get ready for the weekend. This week was pretty productive. The edits are pretty much finished on the next book. Gwen Plano and I have written the sequel to The Contract and now we are trying to get to a name. The manuscript is due to the editor in January and hopefully, we will have a name by then.
Bailey is doing quite well. She is eating (Knock on wood) and appears to be comfortable.

Alter and adapt is what most of nature does, but few humans get the hang of it, it seems.

Thank you, GP. I don’t know what it is about a pet not eating that drives us up the wall. Baily is so thin that I can’t imagine her missing a meal. Sometimes she doesn’t feel like it and it worries me.

Bailey reminds me of my grandmother, who’d sit on the front porch and watch us play in the yard. I suspect that Grandma, like Bailey, wished from time to time that she could join the rumpus, too. Sometimes, even the expected (like old age) requires altering and adaptation.

Well done on the new book, John. I am reaching the end of my WIP too. I plan to finish the re-write by the end of my December holiday and send it to Charli Mills for developmental editing in January.

Happy post-Friday, John! Perfect johnku … perfect for me as changes occur at my state job, always noting that the things change, (sometimes) the more they remain the same 😉 I’m so glad to hear that Bailey is eating and doing better. Like you, I worry when any of my cats go off their food. They usually want to eat 24/7 so any change causes us concern. But Bailey is dealing with her health issues and maybe eating less is better for her. If only she could talk and put your mind at ease. But at least she’s eating. Take the positives where you can find them. Lots of love and big hugs!

Thank you so much for the lovely words, Marie. Bailey now has a problem with her heart caused by the chemo. We have decided to stop and make sure she is comfortable until the end. I wish we could do more but we are pretty much out of options. Thank you for your support. Big Hugs back.

Oh, my dear John. We never have as much time as we want. She knows everything you do is out of love for her, including stopping the chemo. Yes, the best you can do now is make her as comfortable, as peaceful as possible. Sending lots of love your way.
