“Hey, dad. Check out Lucy on the couch.”
“She looks happy.”
“Did I hear my name?”
“That’s okay, Lucy. Dad and I were commenting on how happy you looked.
“Why do I think there is some kind of catch?”
“How about we play with some toys?”
“Hey, Dad. Can you toss the pink cow?”
“Maybe Lucy wants to play.”
“How about it, Lucy. Want to play?”
“I think that would be nice after our walk.”
“Dad. You aren’t going to make us go out in that cold and rain are you?”
“You know if you don’t go out you are like a whirling dervish for the rest of the day. Besides the sun is coming out later when you get back from the beach.”
“Oh man, Lucy. I’m sorry I gave Mom such a hard time about the sweater. Now I’m freezing.”
“Yeah and because of you, mine’s still back at the house. Let’s get this over.”
“That walk was miserable, Lucy.”
“I know next time just stand still and let mom put on the sweater.”
“Wait! What is that bright orb in the sky?”
“Remember Dad said there would be sun after the walk. This must be it.”
“What do you think Little one? Maybe stay all afternoon?”
“I think I could do that, Lucy. This is the best.”
It seems like the day is looking up for the girls, John. Wishing all of you a thriving Thursday. Mega hugs!

John,
Always err on the side of sweaters. Twiggy will learn.

Love all these, but Lucy looking at the sun is adorable. And what a nice way to end a miserable afternoon—toasty warm.

It was nice. When I take the dog’s photo I have to shoot many to get one. I got Lucy with one since she was obviously fixated on something. Thanks, Staci.

Was a crazy day yesterday. Rain and cold in the AM. Sunny and warm after noon. I did enjoy the sun. Thanks, Craig.

We’ve had snow for three days. Just a fine constant trickle, so nothing deep.

Don’t like the solid rain for sure.

Twiggy certainly gives new meaning to the phrase “baked potato.” A little baking’s good after the damp cold that’s been hovering around the coast. Both clearly are enjoying their little fenced-in “oven.”

The sun brings out the best in all of us! The way it has been coming and going it is easy to miss it. The girls seem happier in the sun too.

You wrote beach….
Ahhhhhhh…….[as thoughts of beach float over the snow]
Give our regards to the girls and remind them how lucky they are.

You can’t go wrong with lounging in the sun – especially with all the rainy weather. That’s all we’re getting through the weekend.

I understand. I don’t like this kind of weather.

One of my favorite days of the week. I agree with Lucy. Little One should have stood still and let Mom put on her sweater. 🙂

I love these girls. I’m trying to imagine putting a sweater on Twiggy. I cleared the ice and snow, the sun is out here and we might end up with a good Thursday.

Little Potato doesn’t like her sweater? Silly girl. I tell you what, if she came to visit us up in Montreal, she’d maybe not be so difficult 😉

LOL! Now, I want to hear if Twiggy stands still to have her sweater put on for the next outdoor outing when it’s cold. They are so cute. Twiggy is growing up so fast!

I love the whirling dervish reference and “what is that orb int he sky?”
I have to admit that beach did look cold. I’m not used to seeing that in your neck of the woods!

They’re just like children when it comes to dressing for the weather. Mine refuses booties, though he’s acclimating to the raingear. Nothing like “eau de wet dog” scent, huh?! Send us some of that sunshine, won’t you??
