100 Reasons To Not Kill Yourself: #63 (Guest Post).

I am a guest at You’ve Been Hooked today. The Hook has been running a series of posts titled One Hundred Reasons Not to Commit Suicide. His effort is raising the awareness of a very personal issue and I am proud to contribute to his campaign. A visit to The Hook is always a pleasure and is especially fun to guest post. I’ll say it again: I’m not hard-wired to be positive and inspiring for one hundred posts.

But since surrender is not an option I’m going to continue to enlist my blogging allies in this “fight” to convince people that embracing the emptiness of the dark is never the answer. So please welcome the amazing John W. Howell to the countdown, won’t you? 

What I love about John’s writing is that it doesn’t feel like writing at all; it’s as though he’s in the room with you (listen closely and you can hear him breathing) and so his conversational tone mirrors my own, So we’re all in for a treat today.

If we take into account that the intrinsic vocation of our body is to live, there are no valid reasons to take our own lives, even if they do so to alleviate their frustrations or punish themselves for not being the people they would like to be. In short, there are multitudes of pretexts to do so. What better than the advice of a person well versed to give a word of encouragement. It’s a luxury for the program that you have as a guest.
