Another Friday and a very busy week. After several days of concerted activity, all the boxes have been unpacked and homes found for the contents. Maybe the homes won’t be permanent but at least the stuff is stashed somewhere. I am very happy to have both cars in the garage. Now, don’t ask me where to find something?
Moving is up there with the big life changes that are stressful. We seem to be over the worst part. There’s still the refrigerator, Washer, dryer, living room, dining room, office, and three bedrooms to be delivered. The good news is we are no longer on an air mattress. The box springs and mattress are on the floor. The actual bed looks about six weeks off.
Still and all it feels like home. Today’s JohnKu talks about what makes a home. I hope you have a beautiful weekend

It is not the place,
Nor is it the good weather. . .
Home is where love lives.
What a perfect JohnKu! Wishing you, the Producer and the girls years of happiness in your new home, John. ❤

Some of your furnishings may be slow in coming but it looks like it’s all going to be in good shape when it arrives. Good poem, John. 🙂 — Suzanne

What I’m going to be living myself in less than two months! Mind you my new house is 375 steps away from this one but I still have to procure new appliances as mine stay with the house.
I’ll keep your haiku at hand to remind me as I am going through my stuff…
Happy Friday!

As I said when my wife found the house and wanted me to go see it. (I only saw it when we moved in) “Where ever you are is home. If you’re happy with it, I’m happy with it.” 😊

Your John-Ku has the perfect sentiment. Love it.
Hoping the rest of your things are delivered soon. The boxes are the worst part, so at least that’s done.

What a wonderful and true haiku. What’s important is that you’re there — the “stuff” can arrive as it will.

So very true, my friend, for both people and pets. The ‘stuff’ is nice for creature-comfort, but the heart is crucial for warmth!

Yes, home is where love is. An air mattress is not love, but a mattress and box spring is. 🙂 Here’s to many years ahead filled with love in your new home, John.

That’s what we’re telling our children as they see me packing up, throwing out, and donating stuff with the intent to be out of our home which has been home for all their lives and then some.
Besides, all the familiar stuff will be in the new house, and we’re taking the memories we made in this house with us.
We’re just starting to price movers. Can you say sticker shock? Man! About the time you get the rest of your stuff, we should be moving…fingers crossed!
