Friday already? Someone needs to slow this spaceship down. We have had a busy week in the non-writing department. The fence guy checked in. The remove the brush from the lot guy checked in. The sofas were delivered. The refrigerator, washer, and dryer are scheduled for delivery next week. The utilities are going to mark their underground lines before the fence guy arrives. All in all a productive week.
A little later today, I will be hosting D. L. Finn who is introducing a new book. Today’s JohnKu talks about how we authors need to help one another. I hope your weekend is the best.

Who will help you first?
The ones you offered a hand . . .
Or those you ignored.
Lucy sure looks like she’s happy it’s Friday! 🙂 Your JohnKu is perfect. It sounds like you’ve gotten a lot accomplished. Perhaps you can relax a little over the weekend? Happy Friday!

The move is far more smoothly than my last one did! Good for you. Lucy and Twiggy don’t seem to be bothered by the different scenery, so that’s great!

They call the place home. Twiggy still gets protective when she sees a deer, but other than that all is okay. Thank you, GP.

Spicy, medium AND mild . . so’s we don’t have to quibble. Although, the drinks should take care of any quibbling.

Good to know you’re settling in. One day (or one week) at a time. Your Johnku is spot-on. Writers helping writers is not a one-way street. Happy Friday, John, and I hope you enjoy your weekend!

So… you’ve been without a fridge all this time?
So much to do when one moves. I’m at the surveying all that needs to be done part. A tad overwhelmed but knowing the starting is the big part…Which I am about to!
Perfect Johnku. Author friends need author friends!

We have a small fridge in the garage. Better than nothing but a pain in the butt.

I can well imagine. Mind you, I will have my “extra” fridge only until I buy something new – that one is older than God and is useful for beer and extra stuffs… and when I cater and entertain…

Ours usually holds the water, soda, beer, and wine overflow. We do use the freezer for extra stuff like Columbian coffee we get at Costco.

Exactly…
Didja know it is NOT a good idea to store your coffee in the freezer? Humidity gets in the grain and kills its flavour…

True if you take it out every day. The only time it’s appropriate to store coffee in the freezer is if you’ve bought it in bulk and aren’t using it right away. The National Coffee Association says you can store coffee up to one month this way. One you start using you should keep it in the pantry. Thanks, Dale

Right! I knew that 😉 And I knew you knew it too.
Some peeps think it’s best to keep it in at all times. A big no-no…

Mercy, so much to do — don’t know how you find time to write in all that activity!! Sounds as if things are starting to feel like home for you, and that’s a good thing.

I’m happy things are clicking along for you. The nice thing is, so many of these chores are one-timers, so once they’re checked off, they’re truly done, and you can get back to other important things, like reading, writing, and exploring the neighborhood.
