Another week has gone by, and Friday is here already. Seems too quick sometimes.
We are feeling that the end of the line regarding getting the house settled is in sight. The Producer is at the accessory stage of selection. The necessary items have all arrived. We had an outdoor chair that needed a part replaced, but that is pretty much it. The last thing for my office is on its way, so maybe next week I can give you a look.
Landscaping is still in the design phase. The rain brings mud, and we are getting anxious. As they say, “All things come to he who waits.”
Today’s JohnKu talks about getting back to the WIP. It is a message meant for me alone. I hope you all have a great weekend.

Diversions aside,
No more excuses at hand. . .
Get back to writing.
Great JohnKu! That will certainly be my mantra this weekend.

This stuff could be called “Gumbo Mud.”

The allurement of diversions is amazing, isn’t it? They bring us into a world we know with results that can be anticipated. And then we choose to let it go and write. 😀 Have a wonderful weekend, John.

Of course the writing takes us to another world that may or may not be a diversion unto itself. Thanks, Gwen.😊

Yup. I think this may be the last house post except a final shot of the yard when done. 😊

Excited for you to get your office together. Muddy in Idaho too. It’s like March out there.

I know right? The backyard is almost useless after a rain. We have to take the pups on a leashed walk.

I think the entire country has been getting indudated with rain. We actually have sun today–and no mud, LOL. Glad things are almost wrapped with the house. I’m sure you’ll be happy to settle into writing in your new office too. Have a great weekend!

We finally have sunshine just poking through. Still plenty cloudy but not wet, yay! Fingers crossed your mud subsides soon. Congrats on nearly finishing the project! Can’t wait to see the pics. Love today’s JohnKu. Having finished my latest book, as well as a 10k short story, I now have to get my head in gear to continue with something else so I don’t get out of the habit, lol. Have a great weekend 🙂

Diversions often overtake writing. And mud doesn’t help, either. Great JohnKu! Happy weekend, John.

Sorry about the mud but glad the end is in sight.
And believe me, that John-Ku applies to me, too.

I guess mud is wasted on the elders 😉
And excellent JohnKu to give you the nudge to pick up on your WIP!

I think your JohnKu applies to me, too, John. Sadly, there are just a few more pressing things that I must tend to before that happens. Still, the ideas are percolating (and I’ll bet yours are, too!). Have a wonderful weekend (fingers crossed, the rain eases up!)

Thank you, Debbie. I hope the rain stops as well. We are supposed to have a clear weekend but we have heard that before.

I’d hardly call the purchase of a house, a move, and everything associated with all that “diversions” — sounds more like reasons to keep things on the back burner to me. Here’s to a good weekend, with sunshine and dry paws — and maybe a pause for refreshment!

It’s still good, John. We take weekend trips, sometimes. But next week I’ll go to Portland, OR to babysit my granddaughter for 10 days when my daughter and her hubby go to Iceland!!

That’s a tall order these days.
Fortunately, you write enough for both of us.
