Wednesday Story Day – We Must Remember

Usually, I would have an episode of my continuing story during this time, but this is not the day for a fictional story.

This is the day to remember an actual horror at the hands of those who hate America and the freedoms for which we stand. Today is the day to remember the innocent victims of this hate.

  • We should remember the citizens of the world who were terminated for merely being on American soil.
  • We should remember the American citizens who were going about their daily life, not knowing this would be their last.
  • We should remember the first responders who heroically attempted to save their fellow human beings, even knowing their lives were in danger.
  • We should remember the passengers innocently riding in what would become weapons of mass destruction and those who valiantly fought back against their kidnappers.
  • We should remember those who gave their lives in bringing those responsible for the 911 massacre to justice.
  • We should remember today what happened on September 11th, 2001, for all who have sacrificed their lives to preserve a free America in spite of those who wish to destroy us and the spirit of freedom.

Join me in remembering that day and those who perished.

    This is a beautiful tribute, John. Sadly, the number of victims continue to increase. Periodically, I receive emails at work about the death of first responders who have passed away from cancer as a result of the toxic fumes from 911. ❤

      I can understand that Joan. There are so many voices crying for a weaker America. I normally I don’t write as strong a post for days like today, but I think a lot of folks are forgetting just what freedom means. The more we take it for granted the easier it will slip away.     Thank you for the tribute, John. That day, much like the day of the Kennedy assassination is burned in my memory. Hard to believe we have a generation of children who have grown up not knowing about it, except by our words. We must let them know.

    A wonderful tribute, John. I was shocked to the core when this happened. Terence and I had just returned from our honeymoon which we took in August (we got married in February) and we had met some lovely Americans on our tour. I remember emailing them to find out how they were and if this had impacted them. A few were from Washington and New York. Luckily, the people we had met were all fine but many others were not as lucky.

    Wednesday story day is all well and good, but this was the perfect post for this day.

    Thank you for the tribute, John.

    I arrived at my office, had the coffee, and about to start my day of work (I know, didn’t start working right at 8am). The school district has a meeting room with a TV. News came in about the attack. The staff was horrified with the news.

    The following Sunday, some friends who worked for JP Morgan were at the headquarter in one of the Twin Tower, looking out the window. They were trembling as they shared.
