“Hey Lucy. Look at this new material.”
“Yeah. Little one. The others just couldn’t stand up to us.”
“I don’t know what that means. Look a deer.”
“It means that you and I are pretty hard on couches. You know laying around on them and all.”
“What’s that black thing on the floor?”
“It’s a mid century modern accent rug.”
“Why are you standing like a bronze horse in the park? Look another deer.”
“I’m keeping an eye out for mom. Not sure she’s going to appreaciate you on the couch.”
“I think she is fine with it.”
I love, love the pup dialogues! 😀 They always elicit a morning chuckle. It’s clear that Twiggy knows she is the adored baby of the two. ♥

We already think of our pets as people we can talk to, but these conversations make it seem all the more real!

Thanks, GP. When they answer back we know we are in trouble. 😁

Great to see the pups like the furniture. Funny how our buying habits change when we get pets. Those two are adorable.

Twiggy’s the George Mallory of dogs. She climbs couches because they’re there.

I think Twiggy knows full well that she has the run of the place and it’s only normal for her parents to have to change the material 😉
These are the best, John!

I popped over for some morning cheer and you did not let me down, John. But applesauce… new furniture already. Sorry. I still think those end tables are positively groovy. The statue remark cracked me up. Hugs on the wing!

The other couches had part cashmere and were supposed to be superior in “rub factor.” They pilled something awful, however. The producer contacted the manufacturer and they replaced them. The previous went to the Salvation Army. The new ones have the toughness of rhino skin.

🙂 Love doggy convos. That looks like an ideal deer spotting perch, too. Our dogs spend a great deal of time on the couch – the leather held up well except for the nail marks. We have new fabric ones upstairs but they’re tightly woven so they’re hanging in there so far…
