Let’s hear it for Friday. YAY. Always lovely to see your smiling face, Friday. It makes us glad we made it through the week and now only have two days of relaxation ahead.
I’m looking forward to painting the front door. “What?” you say. “Your front door is unpainted?”
Yes, it is painted. The problem is it is not painted the right accent color on the outside. So, the forecast for Saturday has the humidity at 50%, which means good painting weather. I’ll take some photos (I know real exciting stuff) and run them on Views of the Neighborhood on Sunday. Wow. Does it get any better than that?
Still editing the WIP. It is moving slowly but surely.
Today’s JohnKu is about editing. I hope you have a super weekend.

If you don’t do it,
Life later will be like hell . . .
Before publish, edit.
Never realized there’s good and bad painting weather. Have fun.

Oh yes. Too humid and the paint doesn’t dry and adhere right. Will peal off.

Or dry sticky.

There you go. Sounds like you have spent time behind the brush.

Ha ha … if there is a way to do something wrong the first time, I have discovered it the hard way. Oh yes, I have painted doors that had to be pried open with a crowbar, have learned how to replace plumbing parts, after flooding the house, and the list is endless. You might say, I have learned more what NOT to do in almost every facet of home repair!

Hahahahaha. I have had all of these myself. Thanks, Jill

I look forward to seeing the masterpiece. As Dan Antion has shown us, a door is not just a door, it is what gives the home mystique. 🙂 Hmmm, I think I have some work ahead of me. My door may be just a door! 😀

Our door is pretty modern so we need to do something to give it some interest. Thanks, Gwen. Have a super weekend.

You should see Twiggy’s eel. It crunches and she loves it.

Oh, gosh! What a company! Please, make a photo of this wonderful eel. I’m so curious! A crunchy eel! That’s amazing!

PS. By the way, I forget to write you something peculiar. I don’t if you believe much in reincarnation or a sort of past lives, but the resemblance between Bonnie Prince Charlie in his middle ages & you is stunning.

See I do believe in reincarntion. If I was Bonnie Prince Charles obviously I made some mistakes that I had to come back and correct. Thanks, Maria.

I’m glad to learn that, Your Majesty! Always at your service! 🙂 I have a similar attitude to reincarnation & the predestination of each of us.

Love the new dog toy and the poem, John! Good luck with that editing. Have a lovely weekend, and I hope that weather behaves itself 🙂

Thanks Harmony. Made some good progress this week on the editing. The toy is a hoot. Both dogs like it and make us laugh.

Down here, 50% humidity would be candy-making weather. I hope you get some treats to reward you for all that painting and editing — as well as a good-looking door and some fine sentences!

Thank you, Linda. Yes I’m sure I will get a treat. I liked the comment about the sentences. Made me laugh. 😁

Other than trips to the East Coast or South, I don’t think I’ve ever seen 50% humidity. We’re running a humidifier already because it’s gotten so dry with the freezing. I’m one of the lucky ones who gets government holidays, so I get a three day weekend this time.

I was married to a man who painted signs for a living and did not know that fun fact about the 50% humidity. Interesting! Love the JohnKu!

Looks like Twiggy went Trick-or-Treating! Don’t they have cute toy ideas for dogs nowadays?! Painting sounds like a fun weekend project. Plus, it’s rather mindless (after you’ve chosen the proper color, that is), so you can do it while thinking about your novel — my kind of day!!

Thanks, Debbie. They do have the best toys. Twiggy has an eel that crunches. She loves it.

I know you shouldn’t paint when it’s really hot but didn’t realize humidity was an issue.
You enlighten me all the time, John.
I hope the door comes out perfect.
