Last week was part I of the Trail of Lights, an annual event in Lakeway. This is the second part and conclusion.
A gingerbread house.
Some pine trees and Mrs. Clause on a rocker.
Raindeer and another view of the tree.
A North Pole condo.
Some skaters and a pond of lights.
A light tunnel and civilian caught in the headlights. (have no idea who it is.)
Rudolf running for office and a long line to see Santa.
A band playing Jingle Bell Rock and kids dancing.
Santa and Mrs. Clause with kids.
Firepit and Smores in the making.
Hot chocolate stand.
A decorated Agave succulent and another view of the Santa line.
It wouldn’t be Texas without a chuckwagon.
Decorate cookie stand.
I hope you enjoyed the light tour. Happy Holidays to all.
Happy Holidays to you, your wife and of course the pups!! I enjoyed these posts. xo

Lovely part 2. I couldn’t help but find myself remembering our time at the Disney campsite during the Christmas holidays. The whole place was decorated like this. So kitschy yet we loved it.

The kids love it for sure. I so so many happy ones. Thanks, Dale.

Last week, after I saw your lights my mother and I drove past our town park, which is across from City Hall. It was all lit up with holiday lights. I’d never gone that direction after dark, but I thought of you. Thanks for sharing, John!

Tell him to move to Canada.

Clearly, it’s an enjoyable event, right down to the hot chocolate and s’mores. Next year, suggest to the committee that their agave should have a Christmas tree ball tucked on the end of each leaf! I did like the tunnel — that would be great fun to walk through.

I thought the committee missed the boat on the agave too. The tunnel was difficult because it blinked on and off and then in sequence and I had to catch it all on. Thanks, Linda.

Can’t have a celebration without s’mores. I mean, you could, but is it really a true celebration then?

I think you are right. S’mores make the event. Thanks, Charles.

This is very much like the Christmas lighted exhibit we have here, John … only ours is a drive-through, not a walk-through. They had to plan for snow, you know! Thanks for “the rest of the story” — I enjoyed touring with you (and hope you had a great visit with family over the holidays!)

He guided a timeless legend through a storm and really, that’s good enough for me.
Good to see you back in the saddle, Sheriff.

Thanks for sharing, John. These tunnels of lights are getting quite popular. Norwich has got one since a couple of years, quite an sttraction.
Hope you had a lovely first advent.
