Views of the Neighborhood – Holiday Shopping

The Hills Country Club here in Lakeway held an evening of shopping and invited a number of suppliers to set up shop and offer holiday specials. I snuck in past Tiny who was charged, with keeping the riff-raff out. There were tons of suppliers. Hopefully you’ll get a good idea about the event.

Massage stuff and chair (partially pictured)

Pet T-Shirts

Cheese, dip, and cracker station.

Plush toys with a charitable purpose.

Various items.

Olive oil from trees raised in Texas.

Pampered Chef with Kori Blankenship (The most enthusiastic supplier at the event)

Everything on a towel.

Of course, Louis Vuitton bags.

The Candle Daddy.

Wooden items made in Austin.

Greg Norman golf wear.

Must have wine bar.

YETI cups for everyone.

Bracelets for every arm.

Jewelry.

Cookies and Sweets.

Posh stuff.

I hope you liked the tour of the Holiday Bazaar.

  1. “Everything on a Towel” made me laugh. Now, it’s confession time: I think Louis Vuitton stuff is ugly. Even if I had the money, I wouldn’t buy it.

  3. This has to be the first Holiday Bazaar I’ve seen with no hand-knitted items. Not much call for mittens and toques down your way?

    1. Sometines we get mitten weather. Of course, you buy one pair and you have a lifetime supply. Thanks, Liz.

  4. All wonderful stuff, John. Nothing that’s on my list, well, cookies are always on the list, but it would be fun to roam around. Did you have to bribe Tiny?

    1. I had to avoid Tiny. He got the idea that someone slipped in so he was on the hunt. The cookies were high on my list too. Thanks, Dan.

  6. I always like holiday bazaars, but for a local one, it looks more commercial than I usually see.

  8. Everything looks so festive. Loved the shot of Kori! Maybe she’d been hanging at the wine bar? Thanks for sharing, John. Did you make any purchases?

    1. She was a delight. We had a brief but happy discussion. I did not buy anything. I was busty with the photos and limited time. (Tiny was looking for me)

  10. Oooh that really looks like fun, John. Although I’m not too sure about the wine bar. I think I might have to sample everything they have, just to make sure it’s good enough to have a booth. 😉 😀 Hugs on the wing!

    1. PS: You slayed me about Tiny working there. Oh-oh… I see him headed toward the wine bar. I guess my “investigative” sampling is over.

  19. ‘Candle Daddy’ – what a great name. I’d have gone straight to the cookies and sweet table followed closely by the wine bar. I’ve done shopping while drinking – you usually end up buying more than you bargained for. Hope you finished your Christmas shopping, John?

    1. I have not finished my Christmas shopping. I am way behind this year for some unknown reason. I vow to catch up this week. Wine and shopping do not help the wallet for sure. Thanks, Hugh.
