“It’s Friday Let’s ruckus.”
“Okay Little One. I’ll count to five.”
The last Friday of 2019 has arrived. It is hard to believe that 51 of them have preceded this one. The good news is that there are now 52 more getting ready to be issued as soon as the new year turns over.
I hope you all are having or had a great holiday. I managed to keep to a timetable and am just about finished with the final edit before beta read on my WIP. I will be working on a blurb and will send out a call after the first of the year. The beta will be available in three formats, MOBI, ePub, and PDF.
The beta readers will have six weeks to return comments. Since the MS is about 305 pages, this should not be a burden. If you would like to read the story, which I’m tentatively naming The Eternal Road – the Final Stop, look for the announcement on Monday, January 6th.
Today’s John Ku talks about the New Year. I hope you have a great weekend.
New Year by John W. Howell
Always great promise,
In starting over anew. . .
Old habits die hard.
A perfect JohnKu, John. Nice job sticking to your timetable. I’m struggling to do the same. We spent Christmas Eve day in the ER, but thankfully my father is okay. I’m too old for this kind of stress! 🙂 Happy Friday!

I’m so glad your dad is okay. This kind of stress is the worst. I hope he is resting. Happy Friday as well. Tell the folks hey for me.

I am envious of your ability to stick to routine, considering the time of year!
I have been too busy cooking and organising to even think of writing. (Although I think I have been, come to think of it!)

Congrats on your WIP, John. Your title is most intriguing – I can’t wait to read the book. I have not been able to focus on writing — with all of the travel and family activities.
Happy New Year to you and yours!

Some habits die so hard, it’s necessary to murder them. Thank goodness most of those murders remain hidden, and never are prosecuted! I’m hoping to take out a couple of them in 2020 myself!

I find a Dirty Harry approach is the best. “Go ahead. Make my day.” Thanks, Linda.

I’m a bit jealous. I haven’t written a word in weeks. That’s about to change, because I’m taking a writer’s vacation soon.

Yes, but when you write you are like a steam roller.

I think I appreciate that. This weekend is all about clearing the decks so I can forge ahead after New Year.

I would love to pound out 7000 words at a sitting but don’t have the strength. I admire the fact that you do.

Ha! That’s a rare day for me. A decent storyboard helps. If I can hit 2K per vacation day it will be a big win.
