Thursday – A Little Personal – Lucy and Twiggy Outside After the Rain

Twiggy and Lucy

“Hey, Twiggy. Where are you?”

“Over here in the rocks.”

“What are you doing there?”

“The grass is all wet and feels icky on my feet.”

“So, what is the attraction out here?”

“Look at that flowerbed. Nice black stones. Collect the sun heat.”

“Okay. I can see that. You think Mom would approve?”

“I’m not on the plant. Why wouldn’t she?”

“Now you are talkin’, A nice lay down in the sun on the chase.”

“Yeah, okay. I know you worry about the flower bed and me.”

“Hey, Lucy. This chase is wet.”

“It’s not that bad. We can still use it.”

“I’m not going to stretch out, Lucy. A quick sit is all.”

“You have to admit it is relaxing.”

“What are you doing now, Little One?”

“You should see how the chase bends under your weight.”

“For heaven’s sake get out of there. You coming back up here?”

“I don’t think so. It still is wet.”

“Where you going now?”

“I hear the sound of kibble in the bowl. Time for dinner.”

“Dinner does trump lounging. Wait for me.”

  1. I think Twiggy is getting some lessons from Lucy on how to give the “stink eye.” (See photo 5) Glad things are drying out, John. We’ve been waterlogged this week.

      1. And she is the Boss there. So no deer, no squirrels, only Mr. Eel & her friends. Looking forward to get acquainted with the Clone Fish! 🙂

Very sweet exchange, John. I empathize with the pups. It’s been quite wet here as well. It’s nice to watch the drama from inside a warm (and dry) home. 🙂

    1. We still have not had enough rain. Twiggy does hate to get her paws wet though. Thanks, Gwen.

  5. We’ve had one day of sun in a week of storms … 80 mph winds and so much torrential rain *miserable face* … I can so relate to the girls and that wet chase, lol. Glad it’s drying out for you, John.

And Twiggy is learning the ‘that face’ pose from Lucy . . . she just about has it down cold!

    1. Isn’t she the one though? I hit about six shots cause she was a little disgusted trying to get up on the chaise. She finally pulled the face.

  20. You know, if somebody could figure out how to collect and distribute rain so the haves could share with the have-nots, they’d be rich! We’d have gladly shared our excess with y’all … and with Australia. Great exchange between the two cuties — love the photo of Twiggy sitting among the plants!

    1. I wish we could allocate. Thanks, Debbie. That is one of her favorite sitting spots for some reason. I think the dark stone is warm.

  21. We haven’t had much rain, but it’s been damp/foggy/cloudy/misty for days on end. We’re hoping for mroe rain with the next front on Saturday or so. In the meantime, I’m with Twiggy. A wet rear end, whether from a flower bed or a boat deck, is no fun!
