“Okay, Ladies. Time to go out.”
“It’s raining out there.”
“I just hate the rain, Lucy.”
“I know how you feel. The boss is not moving, though.”
“Which way you going?”
“Not sure, Little One. The rain seems to be coming down everywhere.”
“Oh, this is great. We have a wind chill of 44 degrees, and the door is closed.”
“Give it a whine and cry, Twiggy. That always works.”
“Here comes dad, Lucy.”
“I’ll put on my sad face. Maybe it’ll hurry him up.”
“Hey, Little One. This towel is for me.”
“You can share. I’m freezing.”
“So now you want to play with Flamingo?”
“What better way to warm up?”
“Hey, boss. Any chance for a treat? We survived the rain of 2020.”
“That’s pretty funny, Lucy. Who is going to straighten the mess you two made?”
“If you mean the mussed up couch cover, pillow on the floor, clownfish, Benny bones, and Flamingo strewn about, that’s all Twiggy.”
“I see a spec of dirt here, Lucy. That’s on you.”
Aw…such sad faces. I have the same feeling when it comes to commuting in the rain. Great shots, John!

Your sweet pups know the proper spot on a rainy day is on the couch wrapped in a nice blanket. 😁 Hope your weather improves soon, John. It’s been chilly here in Florida, too. Ready for some sun!

You’re lucky. We have to go out with Maddie. She won’t “go” if we’re not with her.

These two are the same. I ran inside to get a towel leaving them out there. Hence the abandoned look. Thanks, Dan

OK, you’re a good boy, John. Maddie goes nuts until we dry her head. She couldn’t care less about her feet, but she hates having a wet head.

They survived the rain of 2020, lol. When it’s cold outside, my mom gets a towel fresh from the dryer and spreads it on the floor of their screened porch so her cat doesn’t get cold paws. Maybe you shouldn’t mention it to Lucy and Twiggy – they might expect the same.

John, they are just so over-the-top adorable! I love the photo of them peeking around the sofa. And then sitting at the door with THOSE faces.I can’t stop smiling.
Thank you for your Thursday posts. They always brighten my day!

Oh, yes. Rain is not any doggie’s friend, especially when it’s cold. My son-in-law has taught their BorderDoodle to come in and sit on a rug while we wipe her feet. It’s really cute. 🙂 Thanks for sharing these two with us, John!

I wish I had taught ours the same. No it’s like a rodeo trying to get them wiped off. Thanks, Jan

Dallas and I sympathize. We, too, have had more than our share of rain this winter. At least your girls don’t have long, double coats — “eau de wet dog” isn’t a particularly popular fragrance!

No. Their hair is pretty short. A quick towel is about all it takes. Thanks, Debbie.

Yes it can. They just did a couple of laps in the yard tearing up the grass and trackng mud through the living room. The human dopes just said, “Oh well at least they had fun.”

They do have that “pity look” down pat, don’t they?
Adorable, as usual…

LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes, I did! They are amazing! The clownfish is so bright! I wish I were a dog to play with. 🙂 You have arranged them a real zoo party…However it seems to me that Lucy isn’t so much excited with the toys…due to her age & secret agent’s spirit.

You have that right. She puts up with them and plays once in a while. Her mood has to be right though.
