“So what, are we doing out here, Lucy?”
“I thought we were going to play ball.”
“I think I can see my breath.”
“I don’t doubt it, Little One. I’m calling mom.”
“What is taking so long? I swear it is freezing out here.”
“I’m not sure. It’s like we have been abandoned.”
“Okay, you two, you are inside now. What is the big feal?”
“Exactly what is the temperature out there?”
“Let’s see. Looks like 41 degrees with a high today of 42 and a low of 30 degrees.”
“Man, oh, man. And we short hairs are supposed to play ball out there?”
Not me. This is more like it.”
“Yeah, I’m heading to my bed.”
“You in your bed, Little one?”
“Murfff.”
❤️❤️ Twiggy has the right idea! Stay warm.

It has been unseasonably cool here on the Gulf Coast too, John, but you have us beat. I think the kids have Identified the right coping mechanism, though. When in doubt, tuck in for a nice nap! ☺️

They use that coping mechanism for a lot of life’s challenges. Thanks, Lori 😊

70’s this weekend. No need to feel sorry for us. Thanks, Charles.

It’s freezing in our area as well. Just when all signs pointed to Spring, we were surprised by winter! The pups manage it well — just cuddle up and sleep through it. 😀

That is their method. Too bad we can’t do the same. Thanks, Gwen.

She does. Mostly because she is indignant. Thank you Liz. 😁

41* ? I am jealous! We’re having very nice weather, but I look forward to low temps every winter, and I’m usually disappointed.

Today was 31 at dawn. I guess I should just enjoy it but cold be cold. Brrrr.

I suppose I should enjoy our 70-80’s…. before we know it we’ll be back in the 90’s!!

Cold it may be, but I have to know — did you let them out to play in the snow/graupel/sleet that fell in Austin last night? Did your neighborhood get to see it? I can only imagine this pair confronting snowflakes!

They did not see any. They went out at about 9:30 and there wasn’t even any rain. We would have liked to see it for sure.

I’m with the girls—wait until it warms up out there. In the meantime, it’s better to be snug and cozy inside!

Forty-one would be a heat wave for us, John! Of course, Dallas has a double-coat so he thinks winter is just fine … not that he’s too keen on the ice we had yesterday. Looks like your girls had the right idea — their own inside beds!

Yup. That is what the like on these kinds of days.

I’d curl up in my bed, too. Monday I had the sunroof open on my car – today it’s not getting out of the 30s.

We had record breaking temperatures Monday and Tuesday. It is a wonder we don’t catch our death of cold.

These guys have coats but they need a windchill in the 20’s to stand wearing them. Thanks, Darlene.

I feel for them, I’ve been hiding away from the cold, too. Although, we are getting a taste of spring here no rain and maybe the 60s.
