“Why the long face, Lucy?”
“Twiggy is licking me.”
“Twiggy. You know Lucy doesn’t like that.”
“She won’t play with me.”
“Maybe she just wants to rest for a while. Come get a toy.”
“She would like to rest all day. Okay, I’m coming.”
“I have fish. Could you tell her to play with fish and me?”
“You can play by yourself. Lucy has a right to do what she wants.”
“The puma has fished the stream and comes up with dinner.”
“Little One. Cats like a puma wouldn’t fish in a stream.,”
“So, you want to show me what pumas would do?”
“Gadzooks. I didn’t mean to get pulled in.”
“But you are in now.”
“Okay, then. The mama bear is going to show the cub how to fish.”
“Yahoo Mama. We are going fishing. I just love fish.”
“Easy Little One. We have to be quiet, or we’ll scare the fish.”
“Come on, Mama. Let’s go get em.”
“Follow me, Little one.”
“Look, Mama. I’ve caught a big fish.”
“Well done, Little One. Now Mama is going to take a nap. Fishing wears me out.”
It looks like Twiggy is excited for the upcoming weekend. I don’t know how Lucy keeps up with that energetic nugget! This was adorable, John! Enjoy your day.

Lucy loves the action up to a point. When she has had enough she jumps up on the sofa. Twiggy knows not to follow and must find someone else to torture. (usually me) Thanks, JIll.

Thanks, Liz. For whatever reason, Twiggy has been a bundle of energy for the last two days. She normally knocks off for the day about 8:00 pm. Lately she has been playing right up to a major collapse at bedtime.

Hmm, curious. I wonder what is behind the energy burst.

Thanks, Dan. Lucy is very patient with Twiggy. When she has had enough she jumps up on to the sofa. A signal to Twiggy that playtine is over. 😁

Ha-ha-ha! Twiggy reminds me of a politician convincing his electorate that if they fish together, their life will change to the better. While Lucy is mature & wise, so she is our of this political vanity fair as she knows that the electorate will win nothing.
🙂 🙂 🙂

Terrific analysis, Maria. It is funny how the electorite is left with nothing especially in times like these.

True! Saint true! And it is funny that the politicians have not changed for last 100 years. 🙂 They are the same in any country of the world.

Just think of the number of families around the country whose kids are acting like Twiggy, while their long-suffering, Lucy-like parents try to figure out where to find an equivalent ‘fish’ to amuse them!

You have to wonder about how folks under the situation are doing. This little story was about them. Thanks, Linda.

Aww, hard to resist, my friend. This house is so empty … and quiet … without Dallas. It’s been a month today now — I’m crying less but missing him just as much.
