“Hey, lucy. Can you hear me? If so, do you want to play?”
“Um. Can it wait? I’m just about to catch a squirrel.”
“What’s the problem Little One?”
“Lucy won’t play with me.”
“She will later. How about you play with your toys?”
“I have played with all those before.”
“Yes, but these are difficult times, and you’ll just have to make due.”
“Let me think about it while I do my Yoga exercises.”
“Nice ‘downward facing dog’ pose.”
“Okay, all refreshed. Let me look these over.”
“Take your time.”
“You know what? I just can’t do it.”
“Oh, Twiggy. You need to try.”
“Okay. I will do French Fry.”
“There you go. Want to play tuggy?”
“Now we are talking, Dad.”
“You almost have me.”
“One more yank, and you’ll be on the floor.”
“So glad you can play alone.”
Twiggy must think she’s the Tuggy champion of the world!

This is adorable, John! I think Twiggy should teach an online yoga class for dogs…it would be a hit! Thanks for the smiles. Enjoy your day!

Let me know if you need a hand, John. She looks strong. I’m trying to talk someone into tug, but she wants to walk. I’m going to lose this battle. I guess I might as well embrace the outdoors.

Twiggy loves tuggy. No toy too small either. Thanks, Dan.

I’d need something long enough to hold while standing or sitting. Bend over and tug is not a good combination.

The french fry is ideal. We also have a tuggy toy that is about two feet long.

The only problem with long ones with Maddie is that when she “wins” she tends to shake it like crazy. That can get dangerous.

The only thing wrong with Twiggy’s toys is that I always end up wanting French fries after seeing one of her play sessions. If those were real, she wouldn’t have a chance!

If they were real you would have to stand in line. I would be there as well. Thanks, Linda.

🙂 Thanks, dear John! As Lucy was out of the debates, Twiggy convinced the French Fries to join her campaign 🙂

We rotate them. This is about one fifth of the number. Yes, she has a lot of toys but is so smart she tires of them quickly.

Twiggy just kills me… That face! The way she sits! Never a dull moment, eh Dad? (though I’m sure you’d appreciate it on occasion 😉 )

LOL. Thanks for play time with Twiggy, John. Crystal has been demanding extra time with “the string” (teaser toy) this week. Loudly demanding… But at 13 1/2 and all the health issues she’s had over the years, I try to enjoy it — even the meow-meow.
“She’s got the meow-meow.. (snap snap), She’s got the meow-meow…Oh that’s Crystal with the Meow. She’s a little bitty girl with a big me-ow.”

Um dumb question: does Twiggy sit on her knees?? She’s just about as cute as can be, and playing with her — even remotely — is a real treat. Thanks for sharing, John!

She stretches her hind legs out behind her. It looks like she is on her knees but really not. Thanks, Debbie.

We don’t throw those. They mostly stick them in my lap and want to play tug of war.
