“How about a game of Whale?”
“We played that already today.”
“Aw, gee. I thought you liked whale.”
“I do it’s just we should play something else.”
“Dad. Lucy won’t play whale with me.”
“Go get another toy, then.”
“Okay then, I’ll get popcorn.”
“Gad. We played with popcorn yesterday for like twelve hours.”
“Okay, here’s a popcorn ball. I’ll throw it, and you go get it.”
“How about I throw it, and you go get it?”
“Now, wait a minute. I’m the one inventing this game.”
“Yeah, and I’m the one who keeps getting worn out.”
“Okay. Last chance. Fetch the popcorn ball or suffer the consequences.”
“I’ll take the consequences for a thousand, Alex.”
“Okay, the first is a straddle.”
“Still not going to chase the popcorn ball.”
“Next is a layover Dutch rub.”
“Nope.”
“The final is the super insulting head sit.”
“Now, you’ve done it.”
“Oh, I like it. The water buffalo tries to gore the puma.”
“Or the lion is about to consume the lamb for lunch.”
“But the puma strikes back, and the buffalo goes down.”
“Where she stays for the afternoon.”
“Okay. You throw the popcorn ball and I’ll fetch it.”
“The buffalo licks her wounds, and then tells the puma, ‘Give me five.”‘
Adorable.

Laughing…love the play-by-play, John. Ya do what ya must to initiate play. As we all know, desperate times call for desperate measures. Your post made me think of this funny video I saw the other day…. https://youtu.be/4k65KM_i1BE
Have a great day!

Our furry friends provide much-needed distraction and delight, don’t they? And, for some of us, they allow our imaginations to travel the world. Great job, John. 😀

We can go where puma’s and water buffaloes roam for sure. Thanks, Gwen. 😊

Oh, this is hilarious! What little Twiggy won’t do to get her way. When I saw the title of your post, I wondered if the puma would be making an appearance!

Lucy seems to be allergic to sea creatures unlike Twiggy! 🙂

There are only a few toys that Lucy will play with, Maria. Most of the sea creatures are not on the list. 😁

🙂 🙂 🙂 Lucy’s sufferings are obvious! 🙂 🙂 🙂 When do you celebrate her birthday, by the way?

In the summer. We call it Gotcha Day cause since she is a rescue we don’t know her actual birthday.

I see! So, she must be Leo…No sea creatures then. 🙂 Gotcha Day! What a wonderful idea!

We seem to be dealing with two different extreme energy levels. here, John. Triggy needs a dog-sized wheel similar to a gerbil’s. 😀 — Suzanne

It is funny you say that, Suzanne. In the backyard all Lucy has to do is flinch and Twiggy runs in circles around her till the next flinch. 😁

I always enjoy seeing these two tussle. It’s easy to see Twiggy as the hyper-active toddler, but how old is she now? I can’t remember. Is this going to be her adult size? These days I sometimes don’t know what month it is, let alone what day, so it’s hard to remember how long you’ve had her.

Twiggy had her two year birthday on Feburary 10th. This is her adult size. She does look like a kid compared to Lucy but she is all grown-up and still acts like a puppy. Thanks, Linda.

Aha, even the pups are getting bored with this pandemic, aren’t they, John? You can always tell, when one starts picking at the other and goading them to action! Hang in there, all of you, and let’s all hope this thing doesn’t drag on much longer.
