This week marks the 216th anniversary of the beginning of the Lewis and Clark expedition, but guess what? I just did not have the wherewithal to create the Top Ten Things not to do on that trip. Maybe some other day. Today, we need a laugh, so I thought I would put a few of my favorite coronavirus memes to lighten the week a little. This is not to make lite of our situation, but just to have a smile or two.
Cause for worry

True
Clever Police.
Typical
I would want to do that.
Tough choice.
Love it.
Can’t fight it forever.

Maybe the answer. I hope you enjoyed these.
These were great, John. I loved the dog filled with helium. 🙂 Happy Monday!

Loved the ones with the dogs. And of course, the whiskey still. Just so ya know, I’m not forgetting about the Lewis and Clark one. Can’t wait to see what you come up with. (Helpful Hint: Check out York, William Clark’s slave.)

I should have put a “sorry Andrew,” message. The Lewis and Clark item is so vast. Going from St. Louis to the Pacific ocean on foot and by boat was an unbeleaveable feat. York was freed after the expidition for his good work during. Amazing story. Can do it next week. Thanks for keeping me honest.

According to this plaque, you’re early for Lewis & Clark, anyway. If you do the post at some point, feel free to use the image. It’s on the Allegheny River, just outside of the Strip District, in Pittsburgh.

You are right about the launch of the keeled boat in Pittsburgh. and is reconized as the beginning. I am commemorating the full compliment and fully equipped departure of the expedition. The Corps of Discovery (Named by Jefferson) departed from Camp Dubois (Camp Wood), Missouri at 4 pm on May 14, 1804 on the Missouri River and picked up Clark in St Charles, Missouri six days later.

Ah, OK. I was kinda hoping to see Tiny in my old home town, maybe buy him an Iron City – oops, they didn’t start brewing that until 1861. I guess I better leave the time travel to the experts.

This is the best list ever! LOVED IT! Yesterday I had a zoom session with my kids and grandkids and listening to the frustrations of home-schooling was hilarious. Parents everywhere are recognizing how “essential” teachers are. 🙂

I did enjoy these, since, I’m not sure Lewis and Clark are all that funny.
My favorite is the Oreo dunked in whiskey, the sober alcoholic that I am.
Also, the doggies on Zoom. Humor, too bad we can’t buy it on the corner like pot or hot Hamilton tickets. Think of the price it would glean. 🙂

Humor tickets would be in high demand. I could see the scalpers on the corner. “Got three belly laughs and two gaffaws here.”

So true. I actually attended one of his last concerts (Yes in my early thirties) He was bloated and looked awful but brought the house down. No one would leave until the annoucemet, “Ladies and gentlemen. Elvis has left the building.”

What a great story. I know he was a wreck at the end. I read a bio on him that broke my heart. His beginnings were amazing and then all that money ruined him. There’s nothing quite like music money. It parlays itself over and over again. His addict then just took him over, as it tends to do. sigh

I wished he had someone near him who cared enough to tell him to knock that shit off.
LikeLiked by 1 person
He listened to no one but his mother, Glady, who died in 1958. After that he was off to the races. All that money, a posse of hang-er-ons spending it. He never stood a chance.

You have to know someone to see Elvis’s bedroom. I did not, but apparently, Marie Antoinette had nothing on the King.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Elvis was worth about $5M ($19M today) when he died. The estate is worth about $400M now. Marie Antoinette would have liked that kind of growth and probably could figure out how to spend it. 😀

A-ha-ha-ha!!!!! I remember another jest (number 1 in your top): We don’t make the moonshine anymore. We produce sanitizer. As for me, dear John, I have lost the sense of reality. I know that it is 758 May of…unknown year. I remember the days of the week only due to my blog. When I see Lucy & Twiggy I know that it is somewhere between Wednesday and Friday! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Thanks, dear John…however here the idle stillness is so strong that it makes me feel out of this world (joking) 🙂 🙂 🙂 I wonder if the dogs have any feeling of days of the week? Budgies certainly do not. For them each day is Friday, 🙂

They do not. Everyday is the same. Out, breakfast, out, nap, out, nap, play, dinner, out, nap, out, bed.

And they are happy with that! Maybe, ‘everyday’ is just a period of time between naps & dinners for them. Thanks, dear John!
