Top Ten Things Not to Do on Memorial Day

Memorial Day

As I have written on past Memorial Days all ten things not to do on this day are the same. Do not fail to remember those who gave their lives to keep us free.

I hope you have a peaceful Memorial Day.

    1. Thank you, Dale. We have much needed rain today so I think it’s going to be a bike ride and that’s about it. 😁

  6. Happy Memorial Day, John! Skies are gray and it’s looking like rain — no pools are open, no barbecues planned. Still, there’s a lot to be grateful for.

Wonderful, John. I have my dad’s dog tag from 1943. I believe it is the only item of his that I have, but it certainly is precious. Thank you to all who serve or who have served!! ♥

    1. That is a precious item. My dad’s tags went missing somehow along with his air medal. Yes, thank you to all who served and gave their lives.

In Romanian we would celebrate this on 23 August, The Liberation Day or Romania’s Liberation from Fascist Occupation Day. One day that ought to be celebrated, yet tinted by the Communist regime that used to turn it into a day to idolize its leaders.
