Friday – JohnKu – AKA – TGIF

“Go ahead say it.”
“I see Friday.”
“How right you are Little One.”
“Yay.”

Another Friday. YAY, YAY, YAY. Friyay.  The weeks seem to fly by. I guess I’m now used to isolation. Not sure I’ll ever go back into society again. (How’s that for a Howard Hughes imitation)

My proof copy of Eternal Road arrived, and I’m quite pleased that the formatting looks great. KDP has an annoying habit of running the proof language right through the title. I’m glad they feel good knowing I can’t sell this copy. Take a look.

The cover is bluer than pictured here. I think the grey shelf threw off the camera a little. You get the idea, though.

The launch plan is coming along. The e-book is waiting for the publish button to be hit. The paper just needs a few tweaks, and it is ready as well.

I am writing individual launch posts for the blog tour. There will be a different excerpt in each. I think readers will get a good idea of what the book is about as a result. I’m not going to reblog each post but will link the day’s post so everyone can find it and provide some recognition to the super folks who offered to host the introduction.

Today’s JohnKu talks about how time behaves. When I first started this book it seemed like time was an unending resource. Well, it is being consumed pretty fast. I hope you all have a healthy and happy weekend.

Time behavior © 2020

Time starts out slowly,

We think it’s unlimited . . .

Until it is gone.

  1. Congrats on the progress on your book, John. Know what you mean about the isolation…I, too, have become awfully comfortable in my own little nest. Becomes harder and harder to roust myself out.

  5. Book looks really good. I see what you mean about that no resell message thing though. Guess they want to be thorough. Totally agree with your haiku too. This year has really changed how many people look at time.

  8. That’s a great cover — very appealing. As for time… I couldn’t help remembering Al Stewart’s song. One line in the lyrics is “The years run too short and the days too fast.” Isn’t that just the truth?

  10. Looks good, John and I’ll warn you, I have high expectations. Restrictions are easing here, and I’m enjoying the ability to go out a little.
Last Friday’s trip was to a national dealership where I handed over my diesel car and picked up a 4-years old electric Nissan. If I tell you that I’m charging it at home with electricity from a supplier who only supplies only 100% renewable energy, you can imagine how righteous I’m feeling.

    1. I think that is walk on water righteous. If only the balance of the 7 billion folks on the planet would follow your lead. When I lived in Marin County in California I witnessd a women in the grocery wanting to know if the apples were organic. I then witnessed her getting into a Mercedes 600 series. I swear when she started that beast up several birds fell off the wires above her.

      1. I have to admit that as well as being ecologically on the ball, the Leaf more than satisfies my need for technology. I could bore you for hours with the details. Of course, for longer journeys (the Leaf’s range is not much more than a hundred miles) we still have Clare’s diesel estate.

      2. Too bad you can’t carry the leaf in the diesel estate. 😊
