Stream of Consciousness Saturday – Prompt – Pro/Con

Stream of Consciousness Saturday

It is Stream of Consciousness Saturday, and here comes Linda Hill with this week’s prompt. “Hey, Linda, what do we have today?”

“Thanks, John. Nice haircut by the way. Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “pro/con.” Talk about the pros and cons of anything. Enjoy!”

“Thanks, Linda. The Producer did it. If you would like to join in the fun, visit Linda’s blog and read how effortless it is. Here’s the link.”

Pro/Con by John W. Howell © 2020

“Hmmm, that could be a pro.”

“What is the prompt this week.”

“We are to discuss the pros and cons of anything.”

“What did you pick?”

“What do you mean?”

“What item did you pick to do a pro/con analysis?”

“We supposed to pick an item?”

“Well, duh. Yes.”

“Linda said anything.”

“Yes, she meant you could select anything and discuss its pros and cons.”

“Have you ever seen Linda’s cat-o-nine?”

“can’t say I have.”

“When she says anything, it is a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g.”

“So, you are going to go with anything?”

“Yup.”

“Love to see what you come up with.”

“Okay. Anything is everything that’s a pro.”

“Go on.”

“Anything is random. That’s another pro.”

“How about a con?”

“Anything is not something.”

“I see.”

“Another con is anything could be nothing.”

“Oh, brother, where art thou?”

“Huh?”

“Just praying for someone to shoot me.”

“Why?”

“To stop this madness.”

“Anything wrong?”

“Anything, right?”

“Everything.”

“Anything you say.”

“Beer.”

Say no more.”

What, no photos of the haircut? A local friend had her husband cut her hair, posted pictures, and then came the pleas of “me too.” On the other side of the fence, My boys still laugh about the haircuts I gave them as kids. A pro and a con. 😀

      1. Hahaha. It would require a before and after. Never got the “before.”

    2. Hahaha. No, pictures are not going to happen. My daughter in Indiana did comment on a Zoom call that the cut looked great. Thanks, Gwen. Have a good Saturday.

  9. Ah a prose pros and cons. Clipped short. No before picture there. No after picture here. Now for a bit of rhyming. And that would be beer. And almost everybody almost anywhere is almost happy.
