Welcome to the final edition of the Halloween Views of the Neighborhood. Since Halloween is next Saturday, this will be the last post showing the decorations in the neighborhood. The temperatures have also tuned quite nippy (in the 70s), so we will be serving hot mulled cider, Prosciutto, and provolone sandwiches on toasted ciabatta, napa cabbage slaw, and brownie bites. There is also a full bar, and The Traveling Wilburys will be entertaining us.
Jump on the bus, and we will be off.
This first house has quite a display. I love that witch.
Excuse me while I switch off the lights. Makes the display spooky for sure.
We saw these social distance ghosts a while ago.
This is their yard at night. That image on the house is a changing picture.
A bunch of ghouls.
Scary at night.
Flat monsters.
All blown up
Poor pumpkin
All better
Happy monsters.
Cute mailbox topper.
Maybe a cute mailbox topper. Then again maybe not.
Definitely not a cute mailbox topper.
I guess that does it for this year. I hope you liked the series. Hang around and have more cider and listen to “End of the Line” by the Traveling Wilburys. I hope you have a super week.
Nice finale. Funny how Halloween decorations vanishing within a week while Christmas ones seem to hold on for around an extra month.

Around her the decorations went up on October 1st. I’m glad they will be coming down.

Honestly, I like Halloween decor more than Christmas. Fewer blinding lights.

Thank you for another fun jaunt through your neighborhood, John. Our cul-de-sac is in hibernation, but who knows, maybe the skeletons are planning a sneak attack in a few days. 😀

Interesting how home owners have gotten into Halloween themes over the past 10 years … especially the last 5. Snacks and entertainment so impressive, I missed most of the houses during the ride, so your images helped show me what I missed. Have a good Sunday.

Once again you outdid yourself with the menu, Boss.
And I love that witch too, and the first mailbox topper. Sad to see the tour come to an end, but it was truly a thrill ride while it lasted.

Great photos, excellent music and a spread that might keep me in the bus for the rest of the day. Well done, John. The ghoul with the skeleton bird gets the creepy prize.

I’m sorry to see the end of this series, John. It’s been a fun…hic…ride all the way around. A standing ovation for your neighbors and thanks to the bus driver for never spilling my drinks!

Another spook-tacular tour, John. I liked seeing the daylight/dark versions and the pre/post air photos. I never knew there were such mailbox toppers! 😀
Thanks for the video. That’s one of my all time favorites. Hugs on the wing!

Thanks for hosting this delightful final installment, John. I especially like the contrast between the daytime views and the spookier nights! Brownie bites are good at any time of year, but go especially well with provolone sandwiches!

Great finale, John, thanks for the ride. So many fun decorations.
It’s really hard to believe this crazy year is winding down.
By the way, I’ll be doing a post sometime soon with my book reviews and yours will be included. 🙂

Heck, the Hallowe’en displays are second fiddle to what’s on the bus! I’m in and want to book my ticket for next year, k?
Love the day/night, flat/blown up shots!
Happy Sunday and rest of the week, John!

I like your neighborhood decorations. Around here, we’re all a bunch of deadbeats. We do have a nice autumnal display occurring naturally, though.

Yes lucky you. We have notihing of substance in the tree department. Maybe that’s why everyone goes all out.

What lovely displays, John. I love the nighttime pictures, they are simply terrific. I haven’t even made a cake for Halloween this year.

These are such fun to see, John. We celebrate Halloween here, but not in a big way. Trick or treat won’t be happening this year thanks to Covid concens. My grandson loved these images. Thanks for adding a smile to our day.😊🎃

Your comments always make me laugh, John 🙂 That “definitely not cute” mailbox topper is pretty creepy if you ask me. Love that huge pumpkin, a little over the top, but why not, right?

If the Wilbury’s are there, I’m there — especially if they’re all back from wherever they’ve been hanging out and are playing live. That would be quite a trick, not to mention a treat!

ps: I don’t really like the inflatables, but the skeletons and mailbox toppers are great!

Scary stroll, dear John! Imagine, today I have had a true Halloween dream: I dreamt with Lucy (your dog!) who wore boots, walked on two legs & smoke a cigarette. I have never dreamt anything of the kind in my life! 😂😜😜 True…Halloween is coming…It has a special meaning this year for the entire humanity… It seems to me that the 2020 is Halloween itself.
Have a wonderful week, my dear friend!

What a strange dream, Maria. Lucy knows better than to smoke cigarettes. Wearing boots? Now that is another matter. 😁

Indeed, dear John! I wonder what it might mean as my dreams always come true. 😂 Let’s hope it is an allegory of coming 2021. Nothing more.

The community has organized a drive through trick to treat event. The medical folks have warned that house to house trick or treat activity is pretty risky. We shall see.

Late to the tour, John, but I still enjoyed it greatly! We have no one decorating around here to that extent, I’m afraid. And because we are going to do trick or treating this year–it’s been discouraged, and we seldom get many kids anyway–I didn’t even put out my pumpkins and my pirate skeleton. 😦 But I sure enjoyed seeing what fun your neighbors are having.
And may I just add that I MISS TOM PETTY!!! *sad sigh* I was not ready to say goodbye to him! Great video, thanks. 🙂
Happy Halloween!

Sorry…make that “we AREN’T” doing trick or treating this year. 😦

Thank you for the visit too. There is only one street that will be trick or treating here. Everyone voted and most turned down the idea. So there is a concentrated area where all the kids can go.
