It is a pretty slow week in Lakeway, so I decided to get the bus ready and prepare a spread and have a picnic in the park. No moaning. I have prepared roasted chicken served with fingerling potato salad, chilled asparagus, hollandaise sauce, and charro beans to get you in the mood. For dessert, we are serving assorted napoleon pastries and homemade apple crisp. We have top-shelf drinks and Aubert Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast UV Vineyard 2018 for the red and Kistler Chardonnay Russian River Valley Vine Hill Vineyard 2017 for the white. Today’s entertainment guest is Mary Hopkin.
So let’s get on the bus and be off.
Whoa. Stop the bus. Look at the buck just standing by the road.
Well, we can tell we are here. Everybody needs a mask.
In case you wonder how far is six feet.
Here we are by the lake. It will take a moment to set up the tent, lights, and sound system. So let’s all get off and take a stroll.
Looks like plenty of room for volleyball.
Getting closer to the lake, we can see an artist hard at work. A reminder not to dive off the cliff. Yeah, who would do that?
Here is another artist. Looks like a good day to paint.
There is the bandstand where mary Hopkin will perform.
Have a nice jungle Jim for those who are interested.
So make yourself at home. The drinks and food are ready, and Mary’s ready to sing. I hope you all have a great week, and thanks for coming to our picnic.
Oh my, I haven’t been to a picnic as elaborate as yours. What a feast! I loved the bus ride and especially the glimpse of the buck. Thanks, John. 😊

Another fabulous tour. Wondering – Are the majority of people in your area masking in public? Oh – before you answer, more Pinot Noir, please. Thanks for Mary Hopkin … and to think some of us remember when it was a hit.

Yes, a majority of the people are masking. Here you go on the Pinot. I certainly remember when Mary had her hit. It was grat to see her today.

Another great tour day, John. That buck looked like he wanted to join . . . mind the antlers in the bus, though. 🙂

Sorry to be getting on the bus late, John. The neighborhood must be enjoying a peaceful week now that all the decorating and undecorating is over. (as depicted by the artists) I hold some great memories with an old friend of mine using Mary’s song as the theme! Thank you!

The inside is totally different. Plush leather loungers with entertainment consoles. Maybe I need to show a photo of the inside. I haven’t had an incentive to redo the outside since I like the “Not what you see.” aspect of the yellow clunker. 😁Thanks, Jill.

Great tour. Why does 6 feet apart always look shorter than 6 feet tall? This might just be me.

Thanks for letting me accompany you on this tour — always nice to have an outing to look forward to on the weekend! Quick question: the water level looks low to me. Are y’all having a shortage of rain, or is this just not a very full lake?
LikeLiked by 1 person
The lake is very low. Only 68% full (That’s down 8 feet) We did get three inches of rain which will help but we need more. Thanks, Debbie.

Um not usually. Twiggy is so naughty with people and dogs that she is a bit of a strain. Thanks, Noelle.

Hey, John. Give me directions to your picnic site. I’ll hop in my Lear Jet (I wish!) and get there asap!😁

We have a nice private airpark here in Lakeway. Might be a little short of a Lear. A king air can do it. Happy New Year, Ron.
