Today’s entertainment will be a soothing and relaxing time with a Cardinal at the falls.
So let’s get on board.
Along the side of the main drag in Lakeway is a beautiful display of bluebonnets.
And some wild daisies.

The California poppies are blooming

We are now at the greenbelt, and the iris are blooming.

The cedar sage (Salvia roemeriana) is lovely.

It could be Antelope horns (Asclepias Asperula), but I’m not sure.

Some prairie verbena (Glandularia bipinnatifida)

We have finished our tour. Stay and have some food and listen to the falls and cardinal.
Have a great week.
A nice splash of colour, John. It’s nice to see nature waking up. I’m concerned at the lack of social distancing between the plants, though ;D

Bingo! You’re right on the antelope horns. What a great find — I thought I spotted some last weekend, but I was going 60 at the time and wasn’t inclined to stop and turn around.

That spread is sumptuous! I’m stuffed just reading the menu.
Lovely share of pretty spring flowers.
And that little video – don’t you just want to sit by that all day with a book in hand? I videotaped a cardinal singing, too! I just love how they respond when I whistle their tune!
Happy Sunday, John.

They are very social. We have one that starts singing when we let the pups out in the morning. Thanks, Dale.

You’ve found some beautiful flowers, John! The only ones I’ve seen right here in my area are the evening primrose.

Yes, the others are native to Texas and I’m not sure if they are found anywhere else.

Love seeing the wildflowers, especially the bluebonnets. A coworker planned to travel to Burnett this weekend to see them.
I’m waiting for the coreopsis to appear in a few weeks. The waterfall video was so relaxing.

You are so welcome, Dear Maria. I see it is 4 degrees C in Moscow. It is also 4:00 AM. I hope I didn’t wake you. 🤫

No problem. dear John! 😁The Internet never sleeps. We had about 15 degrees today. Tomorrow it will be about +25…however yet snow is expected. Our Nature is becoming wild with us, unreasonable human beings! I have heard about social disorders in Minessota. I hope it will be with as less victims as possible. It is a great feast today here. Every 12th of April Russia celebrates the first space travel made by Yurij Gagarin in 1961. 🙂 🙂 🙂 Happy cosmos day!

Yurij was a great hero. Happy Cosmos Day. Yes, there are demonstrations because another black man was killed by police in Minnesota. It was an accidental shooting but still sparks demonstrations.

Finally made it by, John! I especially love your Sunday tours, and this one was extra nice. We share some of the same wildflowers, like iris and evening primrose, and even a variety of scarlet salvia very similar to the one you pictured. But OH, what I wouldn’t give to see a field of bluebonnets! Alas, that’s not one we have here. 😦
THANKS for sharing. It made me smile, and after Saturday’s sweltering heat, and today’s heavy, all-day rain, I needed that. Have a great week ahead! 🙂

It is definitely looking up here. Unfortunately, our olive tree did not survive the freeze. I have asked for a magnolia tree for my birthday.
