“Hey, Lucy. Don’t forget the sunscreen.”
“Coming Little One.”
“I don’t see a lot of sun out here, Twiggy.”
“You have to look for it.”
“Look for it? If it isn’t in the sky, where would it be?”
“Not behind the chaise, I can tell you.”
“I’m not sure, but I think you might be disappointed.”
“I wonder if it is out front?”
“It comes from above, Twiggy.”
“Maybe there is a below element.”
“Now you are ridiculous. Everyone knows the sun is in the sky.”
“You can’t close your mind to possibilities, Lucy.”
“Hey, where you going in such a hurry?”
“Look out of the way. I have sun to find.”
“Okay then. You go, girl.”
“They laughed at Columbus you know.”
“Believe me, no one is laughing.”

I confess, John, I’m sitting here laughing away! Great bit of Thursday fun. I could use some help over here searching for the sun. It’s wet and dark, ugh. Have a lovely day 🙂

We woke up to rain but we need it desperately. Have a good one, Harmony and hopefully you can stay dry. 😊

Twiggy, Twiggy, Twiggy. You surely have a mind of your own. We may be in trouble when you become the mentor.

Consider Twiggy as the voice of Congress.

Such sweet innocence. In our area, we’ve more rain ahead of us and we’re all hoping for glimpses of the sun. Hope the girls, and you, find some. 🌞

We have rain today but it is most welcome. Thanks, Gwen.

Thanks, Joan. One of my favorite lines while working. Always had a boss who said, “It can’t be done.”

Oh, but I am laughing! Your determination makes me giggle 🤭. Hope the sun peeks out & when you find it, if you wouldn’t mind sending a little my way please 😉

We have rain today but it is sorely needed. Thank you, Lynn. Hope you have a good one. 😊

I’m chuckling. In Twiggy’s defense, the sun does rise. So it looks like it comes out of the ground.

An excellent point, Charles. 😂

No sun out this way either – Lucy and Twiggy might be searching for a while.

I think so, Teri. Thanks.

If you’d had a dose of last night’s severe weather, the girls would have been posting quite differently this morning. I saw a photo of larger-than-baseball sized hail that came through a house roof in Sabinal. Better to stick with sunshine coming through windows, or bathing the patio in its glow. Tell Twiggy to keep looking!

Flooding in Bastrop and a tornado outside of San Antonio. I wonder why we can’t just have a nice rain like the rest of the world.

Oh, I don’t know. I’m laughing a bit. Give the girls ear scratches from me.

Here4e I am thinking you might have to put some sunscreen on their noses! We actually did for one of our dogs!

We have to be careful with Lucy. She does get sunburned. Thanks, Noelle.

I can relate. One of mine is a sun hound and follows it around the living room and the yard.

I love that. Lucy is a big lay in the sun fan.

Always wear sunscreen even in the moonlight. Moonlight is sunlight bounced off of moon dust.

Excellent dialogue (you – and the girls – are so good at that!). I hope they soon find the sun, and I wondered how you all did with those big storms that went through. To be honest, I’m willing to look below now for that orange orb, as it’s nowhere in sight here above. 🙂

We got about a half inch of rain. Certainly not enough. Thanks, Pamela.

Good thing you don’t have a pond in your yard. The reflection would really mess her up! lol

“It comes from above, Twiggy.” A profound line, John, and one that can be applied to many things – a thought that just came to mind. 🙂 We have the sun but need the rain. Never satisfied.
Have a good day!

If Twiggy finds the sun, tell her to send some of it up this way. We’re weary of all this grayness and rain.

Yes I will. It looks like it won’t be until Sunday.

I hope the girls find the sun, John. We’re missing it here, too. Rumor is it’s going to peek out on Saturday. Hope you get it as well!

Twiggy Resort in action. The Resort Times informs that today an urgent meeting about a new doggy source of the sun energy has been held. Lucy & Twiggy discussed establishing & development of their new eco-project “Sun dog without sunscreen”. 🙂 🙂 🙂

I’ve been noticing the squirrels digging in the yard … I thought they were trying to find the peanuts they buried there in the fall, but perhaps they are looking for some of that leftover sun!

Could well be. Squirrels are not the sharpest tool in the drawer so I wouldn’t count on it.
