Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Lucy and Sunscreen

Lucy and Twiggy in the backyard

“Hey, Lucy. Don’t forget the sunscreen.”

“Coming Little One.”

Lucy and Twiggy in the backyard

“I don’t see a lot of sun out here, Twiggy.”

“You have to look for it.”

Lucy and Twiggy in the backyard

“Look for it? If it isn’t in the sky, where  would it be?”

“Not behind the chaise, I can tell you.”

Lucy and Twiggy in the backyard

“I’m not sure, but I think you might be disappointed.”

“I wonder if it is out front?”

“It comes from above, Twiggy.”

“Maybe there is a below element.”

“Now you are ridiculous. Everyone knows the sun is in the sky.”

“You can’t close your mind to possibilities, Lucy.”

“Hey, where you going in such a hurry?”

“Look out of the way. I have sun to find.”

Lucy and Twiggy in the backyard

“Okay then. You go, girl.”

“They laughed at Columbus you know.”

“Believe me, no one is laughing.”

  2. I confess, John, I’m sitting here laughing away! Great bit of Thursday fun. I could use some help over here searching for the sun. It’s wet and dark, ugh. Have a lovely day 🙂

    1. We woke up to rain but we need it desperately. Have a good one, Harmony and hopefully you can stay dry. 😊

Such sweet innocence. In our area, we’ve more rain ahead of us and we’re all hoping for glimpses of the sun. Hope the girls, and you, find some. 🌞

  11. I’m chuckling. In Twiggy’s defense, the sun does rise. So it looks like it comes out of the ground.

  13. If you’d had a dose of last night’s severe weather, the girls would have been posting quite differently this morning. I saw a photo of larger-than-baseball sized hail that came through a house roof in Sabinal. Better to stick with sunshine coming through windows, or bathing the patio in its glow. Tell Twiggy to keep looking!

  25. Excellent dialogue (you – and the girls – are so good at that!). I hope they soon find the sun, and I wondered how you all did with those big storms that went through. To be honest, I’m willing to look below now for that orange orb, as it’s nowhere in sight here above. 🙂
