“Lucy, come quick. Dad’s been at it again.”
“Coming Little One.”
“Look at all that junk. Wat’s he been doing?”
“I really don’t know. We’ll have to ask.”
“What are you doing over on the other side of the yard.”
“trying to find a place to hide. That stuff looks dangerous.”
“Oh, I don’t think so. Check it out.”
“I’m going to give it a sniff over.”
“Well? What do you think?”
“Smells like work.”
“Yeah, I’m picking up the same vibe.”
“Where is Dad anyway?”
“I heard him mumble about a missing tool.”
“He’s always missing a tool. Hey. There are deer out there.”
Lucy and Twiggy. I hear you have a question about what’s going on here.”
“Not anymore. There’re deer out front. We need to run to the other gate.”
“I’m putting up anti-glare film to prevent the sun’s reflective heat from killing the grass.”
“Sure, Dad. Sounds fascinating. We gotta go. Maybe some other time.”
“We’ll get back to you, boss.”
“Yeah, thanks.”

Heeheee. Attention spans are only so long when deer are calling.
I loved the lined “smells like work.” Good luck with that film, John. I hope it does the trick!

Deer take priority. Didn’t know reflected light can hurt grass.

Reflective screen? Only in Texas! I think Lucy I looking at the ladder balancing on a brick and thinking, “accident about to happen, let’s get outta here!”
John, I thought the Little Giant had adjustable legs. At least balance it on the wider side 😂
LikeLiked by 1 person
It does but in order to reach the window I had to do a side position since the wider side kept me too far away.. I got a comment from The Producer on the bricks as well. 😁

‘The Producer’? Would that be the same as the ‘Queen Bee’?

I’ve never even heard about reflective heat killing grass. Our sunsets can be brutal, so it makes sense. I love the sniff test. It seems all questions can be answered with a good sniff.

Yes a good sniff does wonders in investigative methods. More on the grass later.

Nothing like deer to take their attention away from… well, anything else. Hope the film works for you. Give the girls ear scratches from me.

Did it make the news ? Will there be film of the film at 11 ? Will the girls and the deer be in it ? It certainly would be an improvement of the news cycle. Well unless they decided to wear something filmy for the film.

Someone mentioned to me yesterday that animals keep us in the moment. Work can wait. Time to enjoy some deer watching.

Seems like a good project, John, but I hope the Producer was out there watching you on that Little Giant ladder. And I didn’t like the looks of one leg being on a brick and sideways too. I worry about Husband every time he gets on his Little Giant.. Oh, well, it wasn’t that high and you would have fallen on the grass. Then what would the girls have thought? Take care, John!

Mon Dieu, dear John! I see that dogs are as curious as the parrots. Twiggy & Lucy are fond of your ladder. In fact, dogs in need are the dogs indeed! I hope the little works done will really help the plants. 😁😁😁🍺🥩🍗🥡

Wow. You know it’s ridiculously hot when you have to protect the grass from reflection of the sun on the windows! Who would think that would be necessary?
And, it would appear you were a mere curiosity for a New York Minute!

There will be more to the story about the reflective heat coming, Dale. Yes there two have the attention span of a gnat.

I would have thought that would have held their interest for at least a few minutes, John. But, I guess a deer does bring a bit more spice to their day. I hope the film went up well.

It sounds like they have better things to do, John. Be careful on the ladder and in that Texas heat.

Yes. Something about an 80 year old doofis climbing on a ladder supported by bricks in 90 degree heat that requires a warning. Thank you, Diana. Here, hold my beer.😁
