So let’s go.
Here we are at the sign-up table. If you are walking, you get a bag t-shirt and tote. The guy is not included.
Halloween doggie.
Information on Paws for Prisons. A group who rescue dogs and then take them to people in prison to socialize and train them. Benefits for both dogs and humans.
Here is the sign telling us we are in the right place.
A nice trinket give-away table. Koozies, dog toothbrushes and toothpaste, leashes, and of course, information.
The first walker dressed as batman.
Looks like a farmer jones kind of costume.
The fish costume was a little too big. When the head is on, the dog can’t see.
A terrific prehistoric costume.
This one came as a nudest.
Cute little TuTu.
A lion.
Looks like the photographer is getting the stink eye.
A famous bull rider.
Superman.
A beautiful butterfly.
Well, that is the tour for today. I hope you enjoyed it. Now have some food and enjoy the music.
Dear John,
we love the Halloween doggie.
Here people like to dress up their dogs too f.e. at the village fetes.
Wishing you a GREAT Sunday

Hi John, what an interesting idea. I’ve never seen dogs being dressed up here in SA. Your pictures made me think of Ani and her Christmas reindeer horns. It’s going to be sad not having Ani’s Advent Calendar this year.

Yes Ani will be missed. Thank you, Robbie.

So many creative costumes! I kept waiting to see Lucy and Twiggy. Thanks for sharing, John. Happy Sunday!

We decided not to participate. Twiggy would still be barking at the memory of seeing those other dogs. Thanks, JIll.

My vote goes to the famous bull rider, but they’re all cute. I don’t think the one dog was giving the photographer the stink eye, I think that was pure embarrassment on his face.

The prehistoric pup gets my vote. I notice you didn’t dress Twiggy as a little potato, or a puma. I would have enjoyed the video of you getting that costume on her 😉
I’ll have June’s Charbroiled Burger and a beer, if it’s not too early in Texas for beer.

Anytime is beer time here. After all yeast, hops and barley are like bread. Of course only the user gets toasted. Tiggy would have gone ballistic with all the people and dogs. Thanks, Dan

No. Twiggy doesn’t do well in crowds. Lucy would be okay though.

I’m with Twiggy on the crowds.

Nice idea. I’ve always felt sorry for the pets that get dressed up by their owners, but my daughter-in-law’s dogs seem to really enjoy it. Guess it depends on the dog.

t does. Lucy hates it. Twiggy likes it.

Good one John. However I am waiting for later in the week when Twiggy and Lucy share their observations on the parade.

Cute costumes! It seems these doggie Halloween events are becoming more popular and usually support good causes for animals. My favorites were the bull rider and Superman. Paws for Prisons seems like a good program. I expected to see one of your girls as a puma.

Thank you, Jo. I like your selections and I agree on Paws for Prisons. I neglected to mention it was women’s prisons.

I love me some Joss Stone! And those doggies were so adorable… Where are Twiggy and… well, not Lucy, as she doesn’t like being dressed up (I get her)..

Yes Twiggy would love to dress up but she would also feel obligated to bark all the dogs and people to St. Louis. So she stays home. Thanks, Dale.

Not so sure the pups enjoyed playing dress-up, but it was for a good cause. I haven’t tried affixing a Halloween getup for Monkey yet. Not sure he’d go along with it. Dallas suffered through the silliness most stoically, but something tells me Monk would protest!

How fun!! We did a couple of doggie Halloween parades with Diva Dog which we had fun and hope she did too.
I liked the Famous Bull Rider and bull, the butterfly and thought for a second that Superman might have been Lucy, but it was her.
Thanks for taking us along it was fun to see all the costumes and dogs.
