So let’s go.

Here we are at the sign-up table. If you are walking, you get a bag t-shirt and tote. The guy is not included.

Halloween doggie.

Information on Paws for Prisons. A group who rescue dogs and then take them to people in prison to socialize and train them. Benefits for both dogs and humans.

Here is the sign telling us we are in the right place.

A nice trinket give-away table. Koozies, dog toothbrushes and toothpaste, leashes, and of course, information.

The first walker dressed as batman.

Looks like a farmer jones kind of costume.

The fish costume was a little too big. When the head is on, the dog can’t see.

A terrific prehistoric costume.

This one came as a nudest.

Cute little TuTu.

A lion.

Looks like the photographer is getting the stink eye.

A famous bull rider.

Superman.

A beautiful butterfly.

Well, that is the tour for today. I hope you enjoyed it. Now have some food and enjoy the music.

  2. Hi John, what an interesting idea. I’ve never seen dogs being dressed up here in SA. Your pictures made me think of Ani and her Christmas reindeer horns. It’s going to be sad not having Ani’s Advent Calendar this year.

    1. Yes Ani will be missed. Thank you, Robbie.

    1. We decided not to participate. Twiggy would still be barking at the memory of seeing those other dogs. Thanks, JIll.

  4. My vote goes to the famous bull rider, but they’re all cute. I don’t think the one dog was giving the photographer the stink eye, I think that was pure embarrassment on his face.

  5. The prehistoric pup gets my vote. I notice you didn’t dress Twiggy as a little potato, or a puma. I would have enjoyed the video of you getting that costume on her 😉

I’ll have June’s Charbroiled Burger and a beer, if it’s not too early in Texas for beer.

    2. Anytime is beer time here. After all yeast, hops and barley are like bread. Of course only the user gets toasted. Tiggy would have gone ballistic with all the people and dogs. Thanks, Dan

  9. Nice idea. I’ve always felt sorry for the pets that get dressed up by their owners, but my daughter-in-law’s dogs seem to really enjoy it. Guess it depends on the dog.

  26. Not so sure the pups enjoyed playing dress-up, but it was for a good cause. I haven’t tried affixing a Halloween getup for Monkey yet. Not sure he’d go along with it. Dallas suffered through the silliness most stoically, but something tells me Monk would protest!
