“Where are you going?”
“Just out back here. I want to check the flowers.”
“Sound fun. I want to help.”
“Okay, by me. I was just going to have a sniff.”
“Look in this little pot. What is this?”
“Hmmm. Can’t see from here. I’ll have to come over there.”
“Your eyes okay? You should be able to see from there.”
“Just getting older little one. Ah yes, this is ivy and sage.”
“These roses still smell great.”
“It won’t be long until they stop blooming. But, of course, you would think by December second they would have stopped by now.”
“These thorns are still pretty strong.”
“You better leave those alone. Those are Mama’s pets.”
“I thought we were Mama’s pets.”
“We are but in a different way. Think if someone tried to hurt us. Mama would have a fit.”
“I get it. You see this?”
“What is it?”
“I’m not sure, but it is slow-moving.”
“Don’t touch that thing. It’s a chinch bug. Put that in your mouth, and you’ll foam like a rabid dog.”
“I guess that would drive Mama up the wall.”
“Yes, we don’t need that kind of drama.”
“So what else do we have to check?”
“You know, I think we should see if those lounge chairs still hold our weight.”
“You’re not saying we are fat, are you?”
“No, I’m thinking we are tired, though.”
Another fun backyard adventure, John. Your garden looks lovely – even with the chinch bug. Have a wonderful day! 🌞

The garden is looking lovely! Yep, better stay away from those cinch bugs, although running around foaming at the mouth and scaring people could be kinda fun (sometimes!) 💕🙂

The yard looks lovely. I’ve already taken a picture of our first snow. Sigh.
I like Lucy’s idea. It’s best to test the lounge chairs. I hope you all had a nice rest in the balmy weather. Give the girls belly rubs from me.

You do need to keep testing the lounge chairs. That’s important work the girls are doing, John. I hope they got a nice treat. And best to avoid the foaming mouth drama.

With watch dogs like this, no harm should ever happen to your outer oasis. So earned some chair time! …. John – your yard area has come a long way since you moved in. Outstanding … and a great place to enjoy of bit of amber fluid.

We are enjoying the mild days for sure. The sun is quite low in the sky so we don’t even need the umbrella. Thanks, Frank. 😊

Nice one, John. I do always enjoy the girls’ conversations. Testing the lawn chairs sounds like a great idea. Too cold up here for that, though. It’s a task that will have to wait until spring. 🙂

I love the way these girls think…food, snacks, and naps! 🤣 It’s a dogs life.
Once when Diva Dog was a puppy and He-Man took her for a walk she found a frog and thought it would be worth tasting. WRONG! She foamed at the mouth and was sick the rest of the day!!
Smart girl that she was though…she never looked twice at another frog.! 😂

Seems they were thinking about mama a lot today.
Well, after all that, I’m tired, too! So busy in your yard, John!

A chinch bug has a foul squirt system that causes dogs to foam at the mouth since it tastes so bad. It is like a beetle. Very few get eaten by dogs. 😁
